Ohio State was 5th this year with 84.5pts. Two years ago, Cornell was Runners Up with 72.5. This was a historically high year for team points at the top. 6 programs combined for 40 of the 80 All Americans. I'm not sure that's a good thing.

Many questions of the ages of the 1947 guys. Lowell Lange was young, born August 17th, 1928 making him 18 during NCAAs of 1947. As you can see, 2 of the 4, much older. FYI, “True Freshman” is not defined as someone who right away competes the fall semester following high school graduation. It means they compete the first year they are enrolled. The two fellas who were 23 below graduated high school, and went and fought in WWII for a few years before heading to college. Keep that in mind please before making any disrespectful comments about being elder freshman 😬.
