Yes, a sore spot indeed Accusing me of lying, being unethical and doing something potentially illegal, taking steroids is not cool Scumbags that take drugs and then mask it to compete in drug tested sports are the worst TRT has become so common that it’s no big deal if an old guy like me was on it and I would have no problem saying so if I was The reality is I’m not and see no reason to do so at this time for me Let’s say for example I said “gee, you kind of look like a pedophile, kinda sus, what do you guys think? “ I imagine you’d be unhappy about it, no? Accusing people of unethical/potentially illegal behavior on a public forum based on zero actual information is harmful

I guess I hit a sore spot here with Dr. Shawn. Let me be clear. He has an amazing physique and have clearly worked hard in the gym and done many things the right way. He’s exceptional for his age. I have coached, trained and mentored more guys than I can count over the last thirty years in performance enhancement. I’ve not once encountered someone his age who looks like this and didn’t have a little help, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, I think most men would benefit from some HRT. To me testing is meaningless. Anyone can easily pass testing for PEDs. Especially a doctor in the know. Athletes evade testing all the time. So testing would be a pointless exercise. Trust me, I know this first hand. If he truly is natty, he’s a one of a kind. No one else like him on the planet. Take that as a compliment. All the respect.

Why I DON’T take TRT despite being nearly 60 1. I’ve got zero clinical indications to do so (I’m not fat, I’m not weak, I have good energy, sexual function and libido are fine) 2. I have a very good lifestyle, I eat well, sleep well, don’t drink, train intelligently and recover intelligently 3. As a masters athlete, I want to compete in sports like track and field, weightlifting, rowing etc.. for which TRT is banned and I’m not a scumbag who would cheat 4. Personally, I don’t care what someone else does, but for me, I’d rather do it without drugs

Grapes, mango, pineapple, bananas… High sugar. Low satiety. Fast blood sugar spikes. You can eat hundreds of calories worth in minutes and still feel hungry shortly after. Now compare that to berries... Lower sugar. Higher fiber. Slower digestion. More stable energy. If your goal is better energy, better focus, and better metabolic health… this distinction matters.

Why is peanut butter “bad”?? It’s not the health food it’s marketed to be. Peanuts aren’t nuts they’re legumes and one of the highest foods in mold and mycotoxins. On top of that, peanut butter concentrates unstable fats that oxidize and drive inflammation and blood sugar swings. If you tolerate nut butters, cleaner options exist but peanuts are often a non starter.

Most people don't need more protein to build muscle. They need to train more. Protein isn’t the main driver of adaptation, training is. Muscle growth, strength, and metabolic health are primarily stimulated by mechanical tension and progressive overload, not just a higher protein intake. Protein’s role is supportive. It helps repair and build after you’ve given your body a reason to adapt. But without a meaningful training stimulus, more protein doesn’t translate into better outcomes (e.g., more strength, greater lean mass).
