For all the people like @siphillipssport I want to say one thing I understand that Chelsea board is a complete joke but that doesn't make marasca an Angel he is a snake and will be a snake. He has sabotaged Chelsea for city in December itself.

For all the people who have problem with Chelsea board, I understand but do not forget Antonio conte also had disagreements with the board at that time but instead of just resigning he waited for the season to finish and then left the club more respectable way unlike maresca.

Enzo Maresca was the third highest paid coach in the Premier League. When he was hired, it was agreed that a review would take place after the second season. That means if he failed to make the UCL in year one — he wouldn’t be sacked because the club wanted to give him time to build and prove himself. This was supposed to be a long-term project after all. For the exact same reason, if he hit his targets — such as making the UCL and winning the Club World Cup — he also wouldn’t immediately get a massive pay rise before that review. The club wanted to see whether it was sustainable before handing the third highest paid coach in the league an even bigger contract. Again — long-term project. What’s the rush? As for the sporting directors getting pay rises — they had already been here close to three years at that point, so it’s not really a comparable situation whether people agree with it or not. The reality is that Maresca’s ego got inflated by a bit of success and interest from other clubs. He tried to use that leverage to force Chelsea into giving him a huge new deal. The club didn’t want to do that because it wasn’t what had originally been agreed. He had a meeting with Juve. He had multiple meetings with Man City. That’s complete disrespect towards Chelsea. Then he eventually decided to leave with essentially no notice — a few days before facing the club he had practically already agreed to join this summer. There’s plenty of things you can criticise the club for, but standing their ground and refusing to be strong-armed by a Championship coach they gave an opportunity to — and made one of the best paid managers in the entire league — shouldn’t be one of them. He’s a great coach, but he’s also an unstable personality. The modern version of Antonio Conte.
Brian@CFCMJordan

Do you think Maresca would have stayed if we made him one of the top 3 highest paid coaches in the League?

@siphillipssport Just stfu. Lies or not, maresca's action clearly indicate that he did all this to join city. Exactly when rumour swirl around that guardiola maybe leaving city, maresca changed his agency and within a month he resigned. Coincidence i think not. So please stfu shameless si

They’re so shameless. Nothing to do with the fact you replaced him with another inexperienced yes man and the squad build hasn’t been good enough and lacked balance and key elements, no? Hideous this lot with their PR. Nobody buys it.

🚨 Chelsea have watched events around Guardiola’s future unfold with interest. They view Maresca’s resignation as the reason for their disappointing second half of the season. [guardian]

After Enzo Maresca left Chelsea, Behdad Eghbali made a statement that Enzo’s attitude had changed. He started asking for too much, becoming rude, and there was this growing disconnect. At first, when Egbali said it, we didn’t really understand. We were all against the owners, dragging them, hurling abuse, thinking they were at fault. We didn’t realize they hadn’t given him all the power. Yes, they didn’t hand him every key, but that wasn’t the agreement when Maresca was announced. The understanding was that his role was purely on the pitch, if the board involved him, it was just a formality. And he knew that, but he took the job anyway. I think when Maresca started showing this attitude, especially in interviews, saying that his last two games were the saddest of his career, it was like a cry for help, but also a cry to leave. What we didn’t realize is that, by then, he’d already received an approach from City. They offered good deals, and negotiations were underway. And that’s when we saw Maresca falter. Our form dipped. We went from second to fifth, and even though everyone was having bad spells, it was like the team lost its spark. Arsenal, for example, were getting draws, but we just collapsed. That was the moment City approached him, and we didn’t realize it until it was too late. Maresca was never fully ours; it was us who got it wrong. And now, we have to apologize to our owners. We have to apologize to Egbali.

At this point, I think Maresca is intentionally trying to sabotage this team so he can get sacked and take the City job next season when Pep leaves. He can’t resign because he wouldn’t get the compensation he wants. Watch him Bench Estevao against city. #MarescaOut

At chelsea he didn't have that liberty, coincidentally he chamges his agency just before he resigned from chelsea. It was all the drama he created of 'worst 24 hours' and what not. That piece of 💩 ruined our season completely. Not saying sd's aren't to blame...

As a die-hard Maresca fan, it’s easy to blame BlueCo for everything because they’ve definitely messed up, but Maresca also bailed on Chelsea. He used us as a stepping stone, that Man City agreement didn’t just happen overnight.

@miki_djan @TrifectaSport Stfu, you cannot convince me that he created such a ruckus for just a centre back and even took a exit before jan window. Just go and check as soon as it was confirmed pep was leaving he changed his agency and out of nowhere he started creating these issues. He sabotaged us

False narrative You wanted Maresca to sit as a duck, not get supported and then get the shot when things went bad? Maresca followed every protocol by even informing the board of clubs interested in him But he was insulted for it leading to the worst 48hrs comment He simply chose to do what any of us will do in our workplace. Leave where we are not appreciated and go where we are wanted with better conditions

🚨Stop blaming BlueCo for Enzo Maresca leaving Chelsea. Cold truth: Enzo Maresca used Chelsea as a stepping stone. The moment Manchester City links surfaced and Pep succession talks heated up, he did everything in his power to make his position at Stamford Bridge untenable. He tried to outsmart the board, aired grievances publicly, clashed with the hierarchy and medical staff, and forced their hand. He didn’t get pushed — he engineered his own exit. I don’t blame BlueCo for binning him at all. The real grievance is the panic appointment that followed: handing the keys to Liam Rosenior. It was an understandable short-term call under massive pressure (continuity from the BlueCo network at Strasbourg), but it proved a catastrophic failure. Maresca manipulated the situation, the board folded, and fans were left with the wreckage. Change my mind.
