Hey there, we totally understand the sentiment. That's why we didn't raise prices for 6 years — we feel that pinch in every single service and cost of life. But it finally got to the point where we were pinched on so many fronts that we had to raise the price to keep building and maintaining Statamic without lowering our standards. All that being said though, there are lots of ways to cut that license cost down. Non-profit and educational projects (schools, universities, etc) qualify for a 20% discount. We do PPP (Purchase Price Parity) discounts for customers in developing countries. We have volume licensing, pay-per month licensing (Statamic Platform – which has negotiable tiers), and Statamic Core honestly is plenty feature-rich for lots of sites with smaller teams. And one last thing — if you had any projects that you quoted the previous pricing on, we'd be happy to work with you and price match those so that difference doesn't come out of your pocket. 🫶

@statamic Price increase. WTF. Just when I started to recommend Statamic to all my customers, statamic is incrasing the price like crazy. Thats so frustrating, now I cant recommend it anymore, small website owners are not willing to pay that amount, its like 20% of the development costs.

@servmask @batuhan @tommyvedvik @wesbos Statamic would probably handle this reasonably well, but the Git Workflow would become a mess if you've got other developers who are also making edits to related files.

Are we really gonna let website owners go nuts with ai site builders? I think back to my wordpress days and i used to strip the WYSIWYG of every unapproved color and font size. Disabled installing plugins. If I didn’t, they would make a mess. It looked like a MS word doc in 2 days. Maybe AI make it easier for them to not make a mess?
