@bronfoth There is usually a legal time frame where they have to respond to it. But delivering it is another story with the FBI. It’s a huge file no one has requested, so it has to be gone through for redactions. And since the FBI gets so many requests, it takes a while.

@statementpod Over a year? What gives? Okay, so in the case I'm working on we routinely have a lot of issues with FOIA. Is there a legal timeframe? Is there a body that oversees compliance with requests?

I’ve not been around and I owe a bunch of people emails. I have been so busy with work that everything for Impact Statement has been pushed back. I’ll be back as soon as things slow down again! ❤️

The first episode of Impact Statement covered the murder of Jeff Rogers and the role of Crime Stoppers. Almost 11 years to the day after Jeff’s murder, arrests were made. I’m still in contact with Jeff’s family and will keep updating as this makes its way through the courts.

My laptop with all the files for the next episode is at the Apple store currently. Fingers crossed it will be fixed and back to me quickly!

@JacksRaginLiver @brewcrime @CriminologyPod It is unfortunate they lost their jobs because Mike decided to end the shows rather than go to a new platform. He makes enough on Patreon to keep many of them on, if he chose to. But it’s his business to run the way he chooses. As a freelancer myself, I do feel for them.

@calitruecrime I absolutely do not teach my kids stranger danger. The research doesn’t support it. I recommend everyone read Protecting the Gift to learn how to keep our kids safe.
