10 year old Layton went on a family holiday to Cyprus on the 28th of August for what was meant to be a happy holiday. Layton started to feel unwell, his parents took him to the hospital and after a blood test, the family received the devastating news that he had been diagnosed with lukemia. Layton is now undergoing chemotherapy in Cyprus, and due to his treatment, isn’t able to return to The UK for at least a month. The Greek medical team have been incredible, but not all of the treatments are guaranteed to be covered under the GHIC card. Layton is a fabulous lad! Full of fun, very bright and loves playing football for Wyrsedale FC and BWFC Development. More than anything, he just wants to get back on the pitch, doing what he loves most with his team and his big brother Caleb. There has been a go fund me page set up, to support Layton’s treatment abroad and help the Stone family with costs to bring him safely back home when he’s well enough and the Greek doctors allow it. He will then be under the care of Manchester Children’s hospital for the foreseeable future. ❤️

Today is the anniversary of two tragic losses of young lives in our city. Our thoughts, as always, are with both the families of Rhys Jones and Olivia Pratt-Korbel on this sad day.

8 years ago today 7/7/17 at 13.35 my brave superhero took his last breath on earth and went to be with the angles. There is not a day goes by that I don't think of Brad but today is always the hardest day. Pining for that last cuddles and to hear him say "love you mammy"
