We Europeans should not forget the bigger picture. The US 🇺🇸 liberated Europe. The US 🇺🇸 paid for this with the lives of hundreds of thousands of its own soldiers. The US 🇺🇸 subsequently liberated Eastern Europe as well. It was neither France nor Spain that brought Nazi Germany and the USSR to their knees. And it’s just 80/35 years ago. We’re talking about European autonomy - because the U.S. enabled us to do so.
