Happy Iguana Awareness Day 🦎✨ Enjoying his shower like a King 👑. Working with Caesar boi was one of my favourite experiences 💚. He recognises educational talks 🗣️, responds to his name 😎, hates firecrackers 🧨 & loves hibiscus 🌺. He definitely gives Godzilla vibes 🦖

Asian water monitors practice ‘open pursuit’ hunting instead of stalking and ambushing. Did you know they swallow their food whole or in large pieces; they are able to dislocate their thyroid bone in order to enlarge their throat. 😱 #asianwatermonitor #lizards #reptilelove

The white-lipped pit viper or white-lipped tree viper🐍, is a venomous pit viper species endemic to Southeast Asia. The venom is primarily hemotoxic. This snake doesn’t strike and release its prey; like many arboreal snakes, rather holds on to the prey item until it dies. #snakes

Big one-red sand boa & the small one-common sand boa. Both the species are non-venomous & they constrict their food. These boas are nocturnal & spends the majority of its time under the ground. Fun fact: Red sand boas are largest of the sand boas in the world. ✨🐍♥️

Reptilian scales are made of keratin, like hair, and found in an overlapping arrangement. This creates a sort of environmental shield for the animal. Although most reptiles shed their scales periodically, snakes shed their skin in a single piece. 🐍✨ . #snakes #scales #slytherin
