@iproposethis Not only "cute rhymes" but if you're planning to empower your little girl by learning a Martial Arts skill then make some effort also teach Her appropriate use of it. In other words, Not OK to go about kicking boys in the groin for the hell of it.

My final point here is that I worry this sort of "cute" little rhyme empowers girls to be cruel to boys who have no ill intent toward them. This is highly nuanced, as lots of teens and grown men do harm without bad intent and we need to hold them accountable.

This is an interesting thread. Some of it I can agree with wholeheartedly. Other scenarios, my own experience says "disagree". Whoever created the rhyme, seriously overgeneralized.

This is probably one of the more sickening polls I have ever seen: 8% of young adults think that Bin Laden killing thousands of innocent Americans was “good”. 31% of young Americans think that his views were “good”. 38% of young Americans are unsure or think that his actions or views were “good”. Before you start blaming a political ideology for this, note that the numbers are nearly identical for both Republicans and Democrats. Why the hell is this happening?

To everyone bitching about Texas Roadhouse allowing that dog who was deployed twice, to eat a steak in the restaurant on Veterans Day, I'd rather sit next to him than rowdy, bratty kids all day long. Joe Biden didn't indict Trump. Prosecutors must go before a grand jury, made up of citizens including Republicans & Democrats. These citizens hear evidence & vote on whether a defendant should be charged. Different grand juries have now done that with Trump 91 times.

@JessupShannon Truly is the best single thing about ageing…the ability to stand up for oneself. I was taught that I shouldn’t make others (men) uncomfortable. No matter what. That changed in my 50’s. It’s never easy, but boy does it feel good to let others own their sh*t. 👏 👏 👏
