@jcsuzanne @Danetag @QuentinHocde @bramichou @nuxt_js Indeed. After all the things we’ve learned in this last project regarding Shopify’s structure I’m curious to try all the new native features. One of the pain points for me was the team collaboration on a single theme source files. That might be better now

Currently working on my stack (again) : - piecesjs as front-end framework (native webcomponents) - Storyblok as back-end/CMS - The final touch : 11ty to generate static website And it's pretty exciting 🤩

@jcsuzanne @Danetag @QuentinHocde @bramichou @nuxt_js From what I remember it was a suggestion from our company. We tried to jump on the Storefront / hydrogen stack hoping we’d get the flexibility we feared we wouldn’t get with native. Not knowledgeable enough with native to say if we would have been able to do it or not afterwards

@Danetag @jcsuzanne @QuentinHocde @bramichou @nuxt_js We use meta fields a lot on products and locations. Mostly to save products relations and composition. But for the content (pages), we couldn’t get Shopify’s page builder’s data with storefront api. We don’t have a product search feature so it’s not a problem.

@Danetag @jcsuzanne @QuentinHocde @bramichou @nuxt_js Oh in the Hydrogen app, using the Remix loaders we pull our data using storyblok's API. The products exists only in Shopify and all the other data (pages building, blog...) comes from Sb. When we need relations, we use an existing Sb <-> Shopify plugin. 1/

@Danetag @jcsuzanne @QuentinHocde @bramichou @nuxt_js On the frontend we get all the data through the storefront API. For the products synchronisation, we have cron tasks that import data from an existing products catalog and create/update products and variants for all the differents prices.

@jcsuzanne @QuentinHocde @bramichou @nuxt_js On the other hand, because products comes from Shopify there is no preview / draft concept. For the moment we have a dev store and a production store connected to prod and preproduction. It’s really not great because keeping everything in sync is time consuming. 2/

@jcsuzanne @QuentinHocde @bramichou @nuxt_js Hydrogen 2.0 (remix) deployed with Oxygen. Linked to GitHub for automatic deploy. You can create environments (with different domain and config) from Shopify and connect different branches. Editorial is easy to handle with storyblok draft / published system. 1/n

@jcsuzanne @QuentinHocde @bramichou @nuxt_js I recently built and deployed a website with Shopify Hydrogen / Oxygen and Storyblok. Great experience overall. Only issue with storyblok-js-client where it would crash the Cloudflare workers (showing a 500 error on the website). With Next.js it's really easy to implement too.

@stephen_Rchd @JoshSanger_eth @carolynalive @Danetag these are all possible. each section can be a different metaobject definition and a route metaobject can have an array of sections. the Admin ui allows for drag and drop and reordering. its not the liquid editor but its a decent alternative. otherwise a 3P CMS will work 💯

@JP_Prieto @JoshSanger_eth @carolynalive @Danetag Thanks, that is indeed a powerful tool but I feel that for now, it lacks the flexibility/capabilities (being able to add / reorder/ repeat page sections from a set of different types) for administration by non-technical users

@stephen_Rchd @JoshSanger_eth @carolynalive @Danetag It's 💯 possible to do this with metaobjects as routes and sections. We have been experimenting a lot with this internally and it's a big focus i. the future. We will release an example and possible CLI integration in the not too distant future. We just want to get it right!
