John Ehrett (@johnehrett) claims "Garris, McGowan, and Wolfe complain that 'Christians tend to mash together elements of ethics, politics, and theology, resulting in an unsystematic, incoherent, and ad hoc set of ideas suitable for mass consumption in a liberal environment.' Rightly understood, though, it is Garris, McGowan, and Wolfe who are the historical innovators." Here's a list of Reformed writers who distinguished ethics, politics, and theology around four hundred years ago: Bartholomew Keckermann: “Political Science has hitherto been taught with little method: because political writers have partly drawn from Theology and partly from Ethics and Economics, presenting them as Political Science, when they are not. And things that are foreign can never be recalled to the method of the discipline they are alien to, because the material must always correspond to the form." System of Political Discipline, 4-5. Johannes Althusius: “For reasons of homogeneity, we must not leap readily across boundaries and limits, carrying from cognate arts what is only peripheral to our own….It is necessary to keep constantly in view the nature and true goal of each art, and to attend most carefully to them, that we do not exceed the limits justice laid down for each art and thereby reap another’s harvest.” Politica, 5. Pierre de la Place: “It is no small error to view moral philosophy and Christian doctrine as one and the same thing.” The Right Use of Moral Philosophy, 13. Franciscus Junius: "If any theologian labors concerning the matters relating to the ordering of human society, he wastes himself and does the most serious injury to the God who calls him, to the church for whose sake he has been called, and to her calling, by being a busybody and meddling in others' business, which is insatiable ambition." Mosaic Polity, 20 Benedict Pictet: "How is ethics distinguished from politics and economics? Answer: Ethics, or moral philosophy, teaches us how to subdue the emotions and how to put the Christian virtues into practice. Politics teaches us how to establish and govern kingdoms or republics. Economics directs families." Marrow of Christian Ethics, 9 Franco Burgersdijk: "For as Ethics relates to Politics and Economy, so Economy relates to Politics. Ethics alone cannot make a person happy without the precepts of Politics and Economy, although it describes and promises happiness. Similarly, Economy cannot achieve the happiness proposed for families outside of Political Society. Indeed, a single family can scarcely, if at all, have everything necessary for living well and happily." Concept of Economic and Political Doctrine, 2 Francis Turretin: "Although [theology] does not prescribe to other systems principles and objects, yet it so far rules over them (because it establishes their limits) that they neither dare to hold any object opposed to theology, nor to use their principles against it." Institutes of Elenctic Theology, 1.6.7. See also (don't have access currently): Lambert Daneau, Seven Books of Christian Politics, I.II; Johann Alsted, Tomus Quartus Encyclopaedae

Both the Hart-Celler Act of 1965 and the additions to it in the early 90s need to be repealed. So many examples of putting American citizens last in those pieces of legislation.
Rep. Andy Ogles@RepOgles

Excited to announce that my 83-page ASSIMILATION Act has been introduced. Months of labor were undertaken by my staff, @SenTuberville and myself in order to GUT the Hart-Celler Act of 1965, as well as scrap provisions of the Immigration Act of the 1990s. The goal of this bill is simple: end replacement migration and ensure American cultural cohesion. This bill will end the H-1B scam, ensure migrants NEVER become a public charge, and make America look like America again. FYI, net immigration immediately decreases by 85% under this bill. Some other things it does: • National Interest Standard • Stringent Character Tests • Mandatory E-Verify • Ends Chain Migration • Ends Diversity Lottery • GUTS Birthright Citizenship • WAY Tougher Asylum Standards • Stronger Public Charge Rules • 10 Year Citizenship Requirement • English & American Civics PROFICIENCY

1/ WHY ARE "REPUBLICAN" CAMPAIGNS IN MONTANA BEING SUPPORTED BY DEMOCRAT DARK MONEY? We recently saw the power of grassroots engagement, supported by President Trump, in knocking off RINOs in Indiana. In Montana, our RINO problem is even more severe, but it doesn't get reported on because we are far from the national media, and our small state media is completely controlled by the left. In the last legislative session, without any warning to the voters who elected them, nine GOP State Senators crossed the aisle to hand organizational control of the Senate to the Democrat minority and stymie conservative priorities from budget bills to infrastructure, to critical issues like making judicial elections partisan (Despite overwhelming GOP votes in the state, Democrats have been able to maintain ultimate control through "non-partisan" judges heavily backed by out of state leftist and trial lawyer money.) Again, this isn't an issue of these "GOP" reps voting with the Dems on this or that issue. They voted with the Dems on PROCEDURAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL matters-- so they were literally playing for the other team while wearing the R as a skinsuit. Many of these Senators are now trying to get re-elected as Republicans and counting on Democrat dark money to make it happen. All of this is documented in the linked articles here. gallatinrepublicans.com/how-dark-money…

Fuller Theological Seminary could easily turn this around. If anyone on the board of directors is interested in new leadership who could undertake this project my DMs are open.
Ryan Burge 📊@ryanburge

What seminaries are growing? Which ones are declining? I compared the 2024 data from ATS to the same data from 2007 below. Midwestern Baptist is up 290% United Theological is up 244% Southwestern Baptist is down 46% Fuller Theological is down 63%

Yesterday, Divers doing a routine maintenance check at the Converse Reservoir Dam in Mobile, AL discovered an underwater grenade type IED. The FBI bomb squad had to be called in to safely detonate it. The Reservoir and Dam are critical infrastructure, and this is being called “an unprecedented threat“ The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has been made aware of the situation.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge was hit by a freighter and destroyed two years ago, and this is the first time I'm learning that the crew of the ship consisted entirely of the genius Indians without whom America cannot survive unless we allow them to leverage metastatic ethnoracist nepotism to steal tens of millions of America's best jobs from Americans.
