@FirstStudentInc Any update on stop-sign/dash cameras? Have had couple “less than stellar” drivers that I would like to see walk to wherever they are in such a hurry to get to this winter after scaring my kids like that.

@stephen_vdh 36’ is a huge span if unsupported! 😱 You can see the failed dowel in yellow. The rod provides horizontal tension to counteract the spreading force from the weight of the roof.

@jeff_elder Interested to see how they are threaded and fed through. I took a middle post out in my rebuilt for space. Some say it will sag after awhile (36’ span). I have seen a couple different ideas but haven’t settled on anything yet or if I’m even going to bother.

@stephen_vdh Several decades ago the oak pegs that held the joint together sheared off due to stress. Possibly heavy snow load on the roof. The walls started moving outwards so Dad & Grandpa pulled the walls back together & added the rods to tie it all together again.

Any update @MurphyBus on getting cameras on busses. Better half just got kids of bus and told me that someone who is struggling with common sense decided not to stop at the bus’ flashing lights and stop sign.

I’m working on putting a camera at the end of my laneway to catch these *undesirables*. Why don’t bus’ have dash cams @MurphyBus ? I’ll buy one for my driver.
