Thank you @Amber_R_Dixon for hosting us. I wish I could say these are unprecedented times. But for Las Vegas, they're not. This is the second mass shooting since I've been here, the first on our campus. Here's what I expect for our community from our Route 91 shooting study. 1/

@Amber_R_Dixon Will things be the same after this shooting as the last? I don't know. Certain cultural factors likely will be; I don't know whether the psychological effects will be similar. More work needs to be done in this area across disciplines to foster healing. 7/7

@Amber_R_Dixon Criticism will amplify people's distress within 1.5 months, and support will increase their well-being in the same timeframe. Conversely, criticism will wear down people's well-being after 6 months, whereas support will reduce their symptoms in the same timeframe. 6/
