Lads, they welcomed Gavan pepper/Eddie Hobbs. ATD who can advocate for them, Paul Murphy got ran. There are still leftists gaslighting themselves that this can be turned to a left action. Stop embarrassing yourselves and meet the moment before it's too late. Especially leaders

My feed is getting interesting watching the realisation dawn on prominent left commentators that the fuel protests are not the Revolution they thought it was but the far right raising it's ugly head. Its an existential threat to the left and they need to meet the moment asap

When the Left said that Ireland shouldn't be allowing the terrorist US army to move through Shannon Airport, the right said we were wrong to say that, and that we should "stay out of it." So, no, I don't have any sympathy for the right-wing protestors. You reap what you sow.

How many farmers have thick Dublin accents like in the vid? This was an attempt by FR agitators to influence protests by people with a broad range of ideas but a shared + legitimate anger about fuel prices They will divide any movement they are part of + are not to be trusted!
Cllr Conor Reddy 🇵🇸@ConorReddy95

@culladgh Just to be clear, it was not the farmers shouting and roaring, it was McDonnell, Pepper and the usual suspects. We were there for about 30mins before this happened and spoke to multiple farmers, agri workers and truckers who were more than happy to speak!

@rfwalsh86 So farming is what puts food on your plate. Never forget that. Even the commies knew that.

None of these people complained or protested for over a decade when there were record numbers of irish homeless. Suddenly when they started struggling to find housing themselves or for their children or losing money they started blaming foreigners & protesting #fuelprotest

"We've a Government here that's giving away millions and millions...we should look after our own people first - then help other countries," says John Dallon, a farmer and agriculture contractor. #VMNews

A reminder that the Far Right screamed blue murder over nightclubs being closed during a deadly pandemic. Now the Irish Far Right and Tommy Robinson in lockstep want to lockdown the Irish nation down entirely. Reject this☘️☘️☘️
Tommy Robinson 🇬🇧@TRobinsonNewEra

The Irish government have announced they're sending in the "Defence Forces" to remove farmers and lorry drivers protesting across the country. They can bring in the army to remove struggling workers yet not defend borders? High treason!

@stephenmcleary @culladgh It is when none of you twats ever care for the normal working person but happily go to bat every other week for sectors which get immeasurable benifits compared to others and still complain prices should be cut but how does that help farmers who use agri diesel anyways

@stephenmcleary Codwallop. They have more support than anyone, they are backed to the hilt by the EU. Debenham workers had EVERYTHING to lose and they were dragged and beaten by Gardaí. So you can fuck off with your "oh someone think of the farmers".

@culladgh They are allowed to protest on the streets. Just like everyone else. Except their livelihood is in danger. More right than most.

@stephenmcleary @BridledScold Well you see this is it. These terms have different meanings to different people. I would consider ethno-nationalism to be the key indicator of being far right. Mind you, no party has helped propagate that more than Sinn Fein!

63% of voters select Catherine Connolly as President Far Right: She doesn't represent the people of 🇮🇪 — we had no choice 60% of parents surveyed select Catholic Ethos schools Far Right: This represents the people of 🇮🇪 — (don't mention we have no choice)

@BridledScold Is Maria Steen opposed to immigration? Is she intensely nationalistic? Provide examples please. Also, Muslims promote traditional values and revere authority of their church. Are they far right?

@stephenmcleary In Ireland all those further to the right than Fine Gael who subscrie to an ideology of intense nationalism, nativism, opposition to immigration, anti-secular, promote traditional values and revere authoritarianism.

@eoinyk Meanwhile we outsourced our economy to a small group of US .multinationals. Ireland is wasted on the Irish.

@eoinyk Depending on who you ask, huge portion of Irish legislation originates at EU level (estimates often ~40–60%}. Interest rates are set in Frankfurt, not Dublin. We just get to shuffle our taxes a bit.

@eoinyk Except for the rule of law, administration and finance. Like us, it kept the English language, which has been very useful in the modern world. Trade routes, on which it flourished, were originated by the colonial powers.
