@cambarwise @softballokstate @daniellelawrie5 I couldn’t tell you the last time I saw a true HBP in softball and then the opposing team retaliating. Most real HBP are similar to baseball like at the head, ribs and back. You aim for a large body part -you really don’t see it much.

@stephuf15 Post deleted? I wonder if schools begin reporting Tech for tampering (esp at CWS, allegedly how they approached Mia), or if they return the favor to disrupt Tech's roster, if OU loses a lot to the portal, and what UF does recruiting / portal. OU / UF in dire need of pitching.

@reclinernerd @SEC @GatorsSB @TexasTechSB Our coach wasn’t there to say anything and tech players were yelling at the fans being pulled away by their coaches because they were baited by fans 6’ away. It would’ve been heated and TTU would’ve ended up at the WCWS without players. Wasn’t worth it for either team.

In softball it's a tradition to shake hands afterwards. Put petty crap aside and shake hands. If Tech kids get baited into a fight, then their coach isn't doing his job. I imagine Techs coach told his girls to NOT get into any altercations. Florida coach should have told his girls to buck up, shake hands, do NOT start anything or I will suspend you. Florida is in the wrong here.

I am embarrassed for the @SEC conference as a diehard fan of them. The @GatorsSB team not shaking hands with @TexasTechSB is weak. You got beat. You had a player who transferred from your school to theirs. Get over it.

@E_Robo64 @jen_schro I watched a considerable amount tbh because I’m just a softball fan in general; how much did you watch of Mia and the SEC last year to state that I’m incorrect? Can you certifiably say that I’m incorrect with the strategy used against her last year that lead to so many HBP?

@bethmowins You all stirred the pot all weekend with the constant reiteration of the Mia story, -should’ve mentioned it once and then left it alone. Instead, you all continued talking about it and we ended up with a hyper-charged environment. Should’ve left it alone after the first mention.

We love all the new fans and the attention our sport is getting. For perspective, Our crew has been together on the call for 20 years and we have never seen an environment like GVille. Hyper-charged, emotional, intense. 2 teams hungry to get to OKC.

@suzy_redd @SpurierThinks Beam* and beaming someone with a pitch requires you to hit an actual body part hard. She was grazed by pitches as a power hitter who gets thrown to inside. Happened to her 40 times last year.

It’s hilarious that Florida has acted the way they have towards her this weekend. Same team that tampered with Skylar Wallace to leave Alabama and then Kenleigh Cahalan who is now on the team. Now that they’re on the other side they act like this. Tim Walton is a piece of shit

@70_bull @NashTalksTexas @Big12Conference She was hit 40 times last year and had a lower batting average. Why? Because she was pitched much more inside last year. It’s not like she doesn’t have a history of HBP.

I’d believe you if it was once maybe twice but Williams was hit 4 times all year prior to this then we play Florida and it happens 5 times…

@70_bull @NashTalksTexas @Big12Conference She was never pegged. A ball grazing a back knee or elbow is not intentional. It’s an inside pitch. A few that curved more inside than we wanted because Rothrock was trying to avoid throwing it in the middle of the plate.

@TheRaiderHub My point was if it was intentional, it would’ve hit her thigh or front leg. It was an inside pitch that curved further in on the back side of the plate. It wasn’t intentional. Her back leg moved towards the plate as the pitch gets closer with her bat still on her shoulders.

Your players received an unsportsmanlike conduct for taunting the fans mid game. They were also yelling at the fans after. Both parties at fault.
