You can't beat small town business names, this one made me chuckle today whilst on a train through Kent: 'Carol's Cut Above' 👏

@Sonahathi Hey Sona, I didn't know your were at MCLG! I can't DM you on here. Would love to catch up because I'm keen to link up with what's going at Homes England.

@vce_elliott I was a copywriter selling furniture, then I worked as a documentation specialist for a tech company. I got to a point where it lacked meaning and I wanted to use my skills to help others, as opposed to selling something. That's when I discovered content design.

Does anyone else get lost in the sea of acronyms used in Line of Duty? I have no idea what is going on.

@stephwilson It feels rude and contemptuous to me. At best, a lazy way to add authenticity. At worst, an obnoxiously aggravating FU to viewers!

@tim_beveridge We should have a AC-12 type department in government to tackle acronyms and unnecessary capitalisation.

@danhowarth @stephwilson Thanks for thinking of me Dan! Was having a mildly obsessive conversation the other day about content teams using agile. Happy to have a chat Steph.

“Well, as a user, I wouldn’t do that.” “Our users aren’t going to worry about that.” “It’s my project. I know what users think.” Familiar? uxbooth.com/articles/empat…

We’ve agreed an approach to make our annual reports become chaptered HTML publications instead of 168 page PDFs. Good start to the week I say!

@esbengroendal Hi Esben, unfortunately we're rather limited in what we can do in our CMS. The best solution we've come up with is breaking the report in chapters and collecting it on one publication page. We've done something similar with some service guidance recently: shorturl.at/rFU13

We’re looking for an agile Delivery Manager to help the Content Publishing team get in the right conversations, unblock things and be an advocate for UCD and GOV.UK standards in Homes England. If you’re interested or know anyone who would be, DM me for details
