@BenPopeCST @chrismpeters I have to think if SJ goes with a d-man, they pick up the phone and get something from the Hawks to swap picks. Otherwise, they take the best available. I also would be surprised if the Hawks took Malhotra. The knock on him is his skating, and the Hawks value good skaters.

@AdamHughes54 @stevecycles200 @JFreshHockey I'm more cautiously optimistic about Korchinski. He had a decent showing to end this season with Chicago. There's a chance that he may be turning a corner. That being said, if Kyle Davidson has to move him in a trade for a stud like Knies or Robertson, I'm okay with that.

doing this draft project looking at past 1st round picks, and it's incredible how every first-round bust has HFBoards/Reddit threads full of "he's only 22, he looks good in the AHL, just be patient... his floor is a solid third liner" two years before buddy ends up in europe

@JFreshHockey Rebuilds are really tough on the fans. Even if the "experts" like your prospect pool, and players break in, and play fairly well, there are rough, rough games. And losing streaks. I long for not caring about the draft and focusing on playoff matchups. #Blackhawksfan

I'm going to be such a bad rebuild fan because I'm inherently such a prospect pessimist
