A senior councillor and long-time Green, Michael de Whalley, the one who helped set up the West Norfolk branch back in 2009 and is actually their cabinet member for climate change & biodiversity, has just quit in disgust! He says he’s been “looking on in horror” at the party’s sharp lurch under new leader Zack Polanski towards populist left-wing policies. De Whalley slammed the shift away from proper science and evidence-based environmental work, towards dogma, ideology, hard-left economics, gender nonsense, and obsessing over foreign issues like Palestine… all while real concern for the countryside and climate gets pushed aside.
