I am a practicing Catholic. Have been all my life, waaaayyyy over half a century. But I’ve had it with these damn popes getting political!! I couldn’t stand Pope Francis. 😤 We catholics are taught to believe that the pope is divinely chosen. That he is infallible. But I’m sorry, this one and the last one are hardly infallible. 😒 I had hopes for Leo but I had also heard that he was a liberal early on. Already, I can see he’s no better than Francis. Honestly, when I saw this picture of Trump I didn't think of Jesus at all. He looks more like an apostle is healing sick people. I'm a very strong born-again Christian. I wasn't even remotely offended. 99% of the people who were offended by this hated Trump anyway.

What President Trump posted was not blasphemy. As Christians, we are commanded in Scripture to lay hands on the sick and pray for their healing (Mark 16:18). When Trump shared that image and message, he wasn’t claiming to be Jesus or putting himself in the place of God. He was simply expressing that, as a follower of Jesus Christ, he believes in the power of prayer and the authority Christians have been given to lay hands on the sick. There’s a big difference between claiming to be Christ and claiming to follow Christ. Trump was doing the latter, openly identifying as a Christian who believes in the healing power of God.
