Suella Braverman claimed £25,000 in second home allowance while living rent free with mum and dad, Esther McVey claimed £250,000 in second home allowance despite owning a flat just a mile away. So it seems that rent controls do work after all, at least for some.

Another @RoyalMail fail again today. Got an important later regarding my pension today. It was printed on the 1st so being generous it assisted on the 2nd. A first class letter took a week to get from Sunderland to Birmingham. Very poor.

@RoyalMail very disappointed in service. Posted a parcel from York last Saturday using the 48 hour service. 30 min holding on phone now looking for my parcel. I have to call the shop where I posted it to try find my parcel. Disgraceful service

@RoyalMail shambles!!! Sent a parcel Saturday 48 hr tracked 5 days later no delivery and no tracking info since Sat. Also parcel which was paid for next day delivery parcel delivery was due today by 13:25,parcel has been to midland hub twice and NW now 16:48 and STILL NO PARCEL

BELOW is a disgraceful piece of journalism by @BBCNews about Dr Hussam Abu Safiya
BBC repeats every word of the Israeli statement and does not say that there is NO evidence to support it
They do not say he has been held without charge, let alone a trial, and that there IS evidence he has been tortured
BBC should tell the TRUE story. This man is effectively a HOSTAGE. His treatment by the Israelis is a heinous war crime
TRUTH is that the UK Govt and - shamefully - the BBC, by omissions and this kind of FALSE balance, is complicit

We are extremely proud of this achievement that we have accomplished together. We truly risked our lives to reach this place, as it is located very close to military deployment areas, and the road was extremely dangerous at every moment. We have now started our new project to provide clean drinking water, and this truck is heading to one of the most dangerous and heavily affected areas. The work is exhausting and extremely tiring, but the need for clean water cannot wait. Displaced families are facing a severe shortage of safe drinking water, and more people are relying on this support every day.
