The war in Ukraine is also an American war. The US toppled the government in Ukraine in 2014, selected its new government, hijacked its intelligence services, built secret CIA bases along the Russian border, armed and trained right-wing groups to attack Donbas and have veto power over Ukrainian voters' demand for peace, cancelled Zelensky's peace mandate in 2019, hijacked its civil society with "NGOs", built a large proxy army in Ukraine, supported the purging of Ukraine's media, political opposition, and the Orthodox Church, and sabotaged the Minsk peace agreement. After Russia invaded, the US sabotaged the Istanbul negotiations, shut down diplomacy, and provided most of the weapons, ammunition, logistics, intelligence, targeting, and war planning for Ukraine. The objective of the US has been the strategic defeat of Russia as a rival centre of power, to be achieved by fighting to the last Ukrainian and the last euro. Suggesting that the US selflessly "helped" Europe in Ukraine is an absurd argument that even contradicts Trump's previous statements that this has been a proxy war provoked by NATO expansionism. Europe should not receive more "help", and NATO should be dissolved.

An impressive result for @reformparty_uk today. We more than doubled our vote and beat Labour in their own backyard. Huge credit to @GoodwinMJ and the thousands of volunteers. The wider campaign, however, should be a wake up call. South Asian men instructing women how to vote at polling stations in modern Britain. The winning party campaigning under a foreign flag and in foreign languages to exploit a foreign conflict. Depresssingly I can only see this appalling level of sectarianism spreading because most of our political class are in denial. Britain is broken. But it can be set on a better course. That’s why everyone who shares these concerns needs to get behind Reform and ensure the fight back can begin.

Nick Robinson on BBC fairly said many will dismiss the Gorton & Denton result by pointing to a “large Muslim vote still motivated and angry about what happened in Gaza”. Many are wrong. It is not just Muslims that are motivated by the treatment of Palestinians, and these voters are not just angry about what happened in Gaza, but about what is happening in Gaza. Maybe this vote is not as big as the stop the boats lot, but Gaza is still a large part of what is driving the alienation from Labour. Little sign in the foreign office or No 10 of any recognition of this.

Owen, you have to remember that the USA has had debilitating sanctions on the country for decades this hugely degrades people's lives and causes understandable resentment against the government. The CIA and Mossad then agitate and organise the discontent and hey presto riots.
