@lozza929406 Soccer has a long history of bleeding junior parents in order to buy in senior players. Eventually your son will be too old for juniors and he'll be replaced by a gun 4 hire and is lucky to get 5 mins pitch time. And of course the customary dummy spit by the club when he leaves.

I was looking into putting my eldest in soccer he would be U7. 3 clubs told me approx $1200 & that’s not including the uniform… I almost choked… this may be a south Aussie thing tho. Sorry but 1200 for my 6yr old to play a game where they all chase the ball at once… 🫠🫠🫠

Sydney CEO Matthew Pavlich rang Gold Coast counterpart Mark Evans to ask him why the Suns wore red & white kit last Thu night. The licensing blunder arose because the Suns have not got approval to wear their pink guernsey & charcoal shorts in away games against the Lions, with the AFL not thrilled with that combination in last year’s semi-final. Full pink is a possibility for the Suns when they next meet at the Gabba. Regardless, Pav & the Swans can rest easy - the Suns won’t be wearing red & white again.

Formula 1 has announced a multi-year extension with the Circuit de Barcelona‑Catalunya, securing Grands Prix in 2028, 2030, and 2032, in addition to the already scheduled 2026 event. Under the new agreement, the circuit will host races in rotation with Circuit de Spa‑Francorchamps. The extension follows significant investment at the circuit in recent years including the construction of the Circuit Rooftop, a new hospitality space overlooking turns 9, 10, and 11 and the entrance of the main straight, as well as the installation of solar panels throughout the circuit.
