A suggestion from a fan of you and the Steelers. Bring it, the way you normally do. Or just pipe down. Otherwise, you’re just embarrassing yourself. @MarcSessler @DanHanzus

Dear Meeark, your bits are normally so creative—and accurate. Yet whenever you slag off Steelers fans you sound like any drunk in the flats (Cleveland reference, look it up). @MarcSessler @DanHanzus

@DanHanzus @MarcSessler Listening now. So incredibly glad to hear your voices again. You guys have defined how a podcast can create a meaningful relationship with its audience. It’s great to have you back!!!

@cameron_dickson @greggrosenthal I have dwelt a lot today on what he said, if I interpreted him correctly. He felt compelled to stay where he is for the insurance. Very relatable. I will need to make room for two podcasts.

@cameron_dickson @greggrosenthal I feel bad for him. He cannot recreate what ATN was and it’s a bad business decision by the NFL. I was happy for him to come out and say he cannot recreate what was.

Listening to you start today @greggrosenthal was a heart breaking moment. I felt Chris cheered you on with your authenticity. I think we should be the fans that aren't all the toxic fools that are out there that hating. Let's choose life. #HeedTheCall

@MarcSessler You are the beating heart of the show, tapped into the quantum strangeness of existence yet still able to appreciate the simple pleasures of a tight spiral. Or something like that! Cannot wait to hear you two back at it!

Thanks to everyone who has reached out during this bizarre moment in time. We have a lot to catch up on — a *lot*— and I’m beyond excited about what we have coming up next. #heedthecall

It’s tragic to see something that was built through the passion and friendship of the four heroes end like this. The @AroundTheNFL podcast helped @NFLUKIRE fans get closer to the NFL. While this marks the end of this chapter, I know my friends have something great cooking.

We started the Around the NFL Podcast 11 years and over 1,600 episodes ago. We didn’t take a single break in all the years since, which is part of what made the last six weeks so heartbreaking. I never expected our last show on May 23 to be our *last show,* but here we are.

@JohnGonzalez I hate being that guy but the new show cannot come close to the old show. It can at best be 25-percent. I await the announcement of a @DanHanzus and @MarcSessler show, which will be enough to keep the flame alive.

I'm going to do something I very rarely do these last few years, and that's post something non-games-related. I specifically want to speak to the sudden disappearance of the mega-popular @AroundTheNFL Podcast, a personal favorite of mine. For more than a decade, Around the NFL has posted multiple episodes a week, and I've been a loyal listener for much of that time. I often describe it as "the Sacred Symbols of football podcasts," because it is, and I know many members of Last Stand's audience have discovered the show through my evangelism (while many others were already native listeners, because they have great taste). The hosts don't take themselves seriously, the show is littered with in-jokes, goofs, and off-topic ramblings, and it's highly-centered around a cast that's deeply connected to its audience. (One of the hosts sadly passed away a few years ago after a grueling battle with cancer, and I literally sobbed in bed, as if I personally knew him.) More than a month ago, the podcast suddenly ceased production and publishing, and the hosts haven't said a peep about what's up. This is an NFL-owned property, and there are goings-ons around NFL Media that suggest whatever's happening is part of that hullabaloo. And it's such a meaningful show to me that many people have written into Sacred Symbols about it over the past month, asking me my thoughts. I finally read one of those letters on our show this past week. And I can't say I'm not curious for an answer myself. I even wrote to @ProFootballTalk to see if Mike would investigate during this slow offseason! But all you need to do is read the show's subreddit to know how much these guys are missed, and how thorough the mystery is surrounding what's going on. But I want to use my platform to be proactive and helpful, so here's what I want to say, in hopes that the hosts -- @DanHanzus, @greggrosenthal, and @MarcSessler -- see my message! Guys: I am the architect and owner of the most-funded video games media-related @Patreon in the service's history, and I know how to use it. I know how to design around it, leverage it, and make it work. And I know you guys would absolutely slaughter on the service. I am more than happy to introduce you to the people you need to know at Patreon that can help guide you, and offer any other pro bono assistance that may spawn from that. That's the least I can do. We just all wanna see you come back! Most of you won't care about this, and that's okay. But I figured I'd try to use my platform a little selfishly to speak to something that's been missing for many of us. Let's make it happen, boys! Slide into those DMs any time.

@thewizardmelon1 @AroundTheNFL I take your point. That’s why I say if this is just a vacation, it’s poor form not to announce when you’ll return. I check each evening to see if they posted something.

@SteveVolk @AroundTheNFL No but what other reason could keep them from not posting about it online? Very few things make sense about the whole scenario

@SteveVolk @AroundTheNFL I’ve seen tons of podcasts or progorams under contract negotiations or other concerns. Almost all of them at least give a message/update. Just plain nothing is a wild way to handle this, both by the nfl and the heroes at this point.

@thewizardmelon1 @AroundTheNFL The current silence strikes me as a violation of the unspoken contract between the podcast and its fans. People are genuinely concerned. They should say something.

The best argument against TE premium is the argument for superflex. @heathcummingssr why should we make tight end more important to fantasy than it is in actual football? I demand equal time.
