One thing I’m so thankful for about managing the community at Runway is that I can surface an issue from a community member internally, and within minutes, have an entire team digging in and sharing insights on the best possible way to proceed. There’s always this genuine commitment to the user experience, and to providing trust and safety for everyone as they create their art. I’ve never once felt unsupported here, and I really hope I’ve been able to pass that feeling on to our users 🫶

@alexutopia What ultimately matters is the outcome, not the effort behind it. That’s why the tools you use aren’t as important as the results you achieve. Only recently has effort itself been so highly valued, largely out of necessity for survival.

The old creative class had a beautiful scam: turn difficulty into legitimacy. AI ruins that. Now the audience doesn't need to worship your effort anymore. They can just ask: does the result matter?

Does your starting image already have overlays or text? If it does, Grok might be latching onto that and generating more of the same and you should probably edit the image first to remove those. Also have you tried by simply removing the “no burned-in text, no subtitles, no overlays”?

Anybody else dealing with annoying subtitles baked into every render using #grokimagine? I’ve been prompting “no burned-in text, no subtitles, no overlays” and I still get it 25% of the time.

@sexy__imagines Appreciate the insight. Here’s my prompt: Camera pushes in on subject. She says “Go on, stare”. Leans forward and smiles then says “I’d be disappointed if you didn’t.” Sly smile. She speaks naturally. No music, no burned-in text, no subtitles, no overlays.

@stimograph Grok doesn’t do negative prompts, so when you say “no subtitles” you are probably more likely to get subtitles. That said, I don’t normally have the issue you describe, but I’d be curious to see your prompt and maybe I can help pinpoint what is happening.
