Let me close my thoughts on this chat. The business of the industry is complicated. Ownership is expensive. Raising capital is hard. At the end of the day we have bills to pay and families to provide for. Commissioned work is safe because it can be a constant income for shows that run for years. Many people/families/communities have benefited for commissioned work. Dreams realised. Yes, the fight for ownership is important but let it not dim light to an economy that’s sustained so many.
