@Or_Tinrante @caitlin_mmm This is the “rise and grind” method of SIDS defense.
English

@caitlin_mmm you can survive SIDS if you just lock in and manually breathe every time you sleep

@stevemagness Also love the perspective that wisdom is a component of toughness.

@stevemagness Makes sense re:mental strength accrued during solo endurance training, but also makes practical sense when you consider the fact that vo2 max is basically a measure of the ability to sustain work over time w/o having a physiological freak-out over stress imposed by that work.

@JomboyMedia I can only imagine what kind of shit this guy talks to anyone he can get to listen about how he’s practically a member of the team. He was probably super helpful and supportive when his kids were playing sports growing up. 😂

@InternetH0F He’s doing this to keep him from running so fast that he shoots out the front duh.

@stevemagness I was told by a coach when I was a teenager that the fitter you are, the more instinctively your body shifts into “it’s time for work“ mode, and that’s why you get the huff-and-puff response so quickly when you do something like climb some stairs.
English

Every runner knows the opposite truth:
The fitter you are, the more you question why going up stairs is so hard, when you are in peak mile or 5k shape.
A truism among runners I know: the fitter you are the more the stairs hurt, the more you avoid them.

A silent luxury is being able to walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded.

This is among the worst pseudoscience BS I've seen in the performance and health world.
The oxygen BS just hurts my exercise physiologist brain...it's so bad...
Don't fall for sciency sounding BS.
Do the basics well and you don't need a 'superhuman' protocol that doesn't work.

This is Gary Brecka. He's the man who saved the life of UFC president Dana White. Gary applied a biohacking protocol on Dana that tripled his life expectancy. Here's that protocol:

@joga_joe @stevemagness Outcome: “I want to be the top sales guy in the region”
Performance: “I want to be a million dollar producer”
Process: “I will make 15 outbound contacts to ask for an order every day”

@stljoshwright hey Josh, thanks for reaching out.
Glad to get you some info about this. Can I send you a DM with info?

@Alan_Couzens Are mindfulness practices like this the best gameplan to increase HRV, or are there other things we could be doing?
