The children's confidence has grown weekly, while practising their front and back stroke with some of the advanced swimmers going underwater and picking up blocks. We can't wait to see the children progress further in the weeks to come after the half-term break! 🌟

Reception children have been having a splashing good time during their weekly swimming lessons at the local Crosby Leisure Centre! 🏊 Each week, the children have been progressing brilliantly and impressing Miss Johnson with their determination and efforts in the pool. (1/2)

Yesterday Year 6 enjoyed their final day visiting Dig and The Jorvik Centre to learn about archaeology and what has been discovered in York. After shopping on The Shambles and a lovely meal celebrating Matthew's birthday, the children then enjoyed the rides in Flamingoland today!

Another wonderful day in Keswick for Year 4! In the morning children tackled some very challenging walls during their climbing session, followed by a spot of shopping, a visit to The Puzzling Place and a trip to the park. Finishing the day with burgers and waffles for dinner.🍽️🧗

The children have had a wonderful day exploring Keswick in the sunshine, demonstrating great teamwork and problem solving skills in order to complete a Treasure Trail throughout the town. They worked up an appetite after lots of walking and their evening meal went down a treat!🌞

Year 1 posted their letters today as an end of topic activity to celebrate. The letters were addressed to their home addresses, meaning they will receive their letters at home soon. How exciting, they can’t wait! 📮 (2/2) #sendingletters

In York Minster, they learnt about their famous stained glass windows before spending time shopping on the Shambles. After a visit to Pizza Hut in the evening, they ended the day as competitively as they started with some rounders in the park, which (thankfully) ended in a draw.

Day 2 in York has been another fun day for Y6! They started the day at Hole in the Wand mini golf, where there was plenty of competitiveness and a few fantastic hole in ones! During the afternoon, they enjoyed a few hours exploring York Minster!

Reception children have been learning about #Pentecost and how Jesus sent the Holy Spirit so we can feel better and fill our hearts with love. ✝️🤍 The children headed outside with their crafted Pentecost fire sticks to celebrate the presence of the holy spirit.

What a fantastic atmosphere at our St. Mary's Games Field last Friday! 🏏Year 8 beat St. Michael’s Chorley by 3 wickets in the Lancashire Cup! 🏃@stmarys_prep pupils completed their Whole School Colour Run! ⚽@AcademyNorth1 worked with Year 7s on cricket, athletics & football!

Reception children enjoyed picking their radishes they had grown in the garden last week. Although the tasting experience brought out a range of reactions. They are looking forward to growing beetroots and strawberries next! 🍓

What a busy first day Year 6 have had on their trip to York yesterday! Rock climbing; lots of walking around and through the city; their first meal out and then a ghost walk to end the evening. ✨
