So do you think the Fibonacci kilometer to mile conversions pattern are a real “thing” or just a happy coincidence? I would love to know what you think.

Fibonacci Kilometer to mile conversion is a pretty neat thing, up until the 14th number in the sequence, 233, then things start to fall apart. This is really only going to impact Ultra marathoners however.

So a 5K race is 3.1 miles, and a 21K race is 13 miles. So with a little rounding you can use the Fibonacci sequence to convert Kilometers to miles.
