Phoenix is pleased to share an update from Fortuna Metals (ASX: $FUN) CEO Tom Langley on the Company’s Mkanda Rutile Project in Malawi, located just south of Sovereign Metals. Fortuna has outlined a large exploration target of 180–240Mt at 0.86–1.0% rutile, based on only three months of drilling completed last year. Current assays are still shallow, with average depth of just ~4m, while upcoming air-core drilling to saprock depth could materially expand the target and potentially double the resource at depth. With metallurgical test work underway, a strengthened technical team, and logistics support from the Mchinjii rail line just 11km away, Fortuna is rapidly advancing what is already shaping as a globally significant rutile discovery. @Fortuna_ASX
