@over21m @phongle I have issues with both. But gambling that Bitcoin will rise by more than 11.5% a year does not change the Ponzi like structure of STRC.

Strategy CEO @phongle refuted my claim that $STRC is a Ponzi scheme by arguing it’s “transparent” and “very clear what we’re doing.” But I never accused Strategy of hiding the scheme. In contrast, I called STRC the most obvious Ponzi precisely because $MSTR is so open about it.

In midterm years, you get a low in Feb and in early April. Sometimes the low in early April is a lower low (2014), sometimes a higher low (2018). It’s more about identifying windows of weakness when lows generally occur. A higher low in April 2026 is not that different from the higher low in April 2018. Most people just expect the bear market to only go down, so the minute you get any type of rally everyone starts freaking out

I also don't think it's a bad idea to be bullish on altcoins. Blackrock, Fidelity, and Greyscale are... I enjoy tracking the macro opportunity, while always preparing for downside scenarios and volitility. Lastly, I think characterizing someone because they invest in and cover altcoins is not what crypto needs right now. Opportunity everywhere.

As we hit the peak and collapse of the 18-year cycle, the perma bears are finally going to have their time to be “right” after 15+ years of being wrong. It’s important that you (and I) don’t get trapped in the bear p0rn after it expires. The perma bears will be extremely convincing though but they’ll repeat their mistakes and miss the cycle low. It happens every cycle.
