@set_dw Also struck me as odd that RTD does not do Ncuti’s farewell speech, plus Ncuti comes across as uncharacteristically awkward in both his speech and (brief) interviews about leaving. Likely truth in this (from late 2024) leading to him to quit early.

@set_dw If you watch the final scene Ncuti shot in UNIT HQ, both Mel and Rose are weirdly absent, and the cast present are all confirmed or speculated to appear in The War Between The Land And The Sea, so it does make sense that this could’ve been a reshoot

If you're thinking that the regen felt tacked on, that's because it was. As I feared, the reshoots in February retooled the episode to facilitate a regeneration.
