@TheAlextrifier @theglobalvc Yes all of them were pro, none of the incumbents or anybody on Council spoke out against. Eventually Amy Jackson came out against it and then some Dem candidates like @Charlotte4ALX @j_huskey and @JamesLewisVA also came out against the arena publicly or ran on that issue.

I know a Reginald Brown… I know him from St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes stuff, where he is on the board and I am an involved alum. A good number of people in my school community support me. Nothing weird about that.

With the City Council meeting done, I’m back knocking on doors in the Polk precinct. It’s a little weird not to be asking for votes for myself, but I’m encouraging voters to nominate @Alyia4ALX for Mayor and a great group of Councilmembers in Tuesday’s Democratic Primary!

He is a major donor to the Republican Party, a recent donor to a Super PAC in support of Ron DeSantis called Never Back Down, as well as Spirit of VA that supports Gov Youngkin. The arena exposed what is wrong and that the City is led by developers/development, not leading it. We also got a chance to finally meet up with @MJBofDCA, one of the leaders of the 1992 stadium fight in Alexandria and someone who helped coach us about the tactics t used before!

Thanks to all of the @stop_arena volunteers who came out to the @AlexVADems Debate to pass out flyers and support candidates who spoke about the arena project, reminding others that this topic shouldn’t be forgotten and those who supported it should be held accountable.
