@tonyblackburn Yes, and it is grating that news reports barely mention the dead people and instead focus on the effect on oil prices.

Watching the news it breaks my heart seeing the children who are terrified. What are we as human beings doing to these innocent children. it’s an absolute disgrace what is happening to these children who have done nothing to deserve this. I honestly don’t know how leaders on any side can sleep at night knowing what they are doing. Shame on you all.

@quisitydog @pipterino Yes, I am terrified of crossing a line. We never confided about personal issues so, in my 60s, I would find it very hard to change now. She gets on well with her own parents and has lots of friends including one going though IVF without a partner.

@stopcofra @pipterino Going through IVF is scary and lonely. She needs to know you care but that you don’t want to come across as insensitive or over curious. I hope it sorts out!

@stopcofra @DonoghueSd I eat cheese and butter already, and lots of good fats (nuts, peanut butter, avocado, and all that). Too much red meat is not great, so I eat a lot of chicken and fish. Fatty meat is a no-no; ‘tons’ of butter ditto. The conflict with my diabetes is the issue.

Facebook memories. I was far too heavy. Now I’m far too light. I’ve gone from 2XL to Small.

@quisitydog @pipterino I tried to make allowances as they are going through IVF.She said we were no support as we didn't ask questions about the procedure. They only told us recently and have been going through it for about 16mths.I didn't want to be the interfering MIL but that was taken as not caring

@DonoghueSd There’s only one, really, that’s. diabetic-friendly. Most are full of sugar, and they all taste kind of artificial anyway. Trust me, I know what’s out there; I’ve been on it at some stage! 😀

@sophiegrenham They made my coffee with sour milk the last time I was there. The replacement wasn't much better. Won't be going back.

I just paid €4.80, like a proper fool, for an almond croissant from The Art of Coffee, a perfectly pleasant but fairly run of the mill café chain where their pain au chocolat is, more often than not, stale. Now, this croissant is large and stuffed with filling, but nearly a fiver for a pastry is simply too much. Yet this is how we're going. I could have said no thanks and walked out when the server told me the price, but you know when someone insults you and you freeze, and it takes you a minute to react? That, except with pastry.

@philipnolan1 The kid in that ad is great. Yes, gives the impression the Gran is coming from Australia or somewhere else very far away.

It’s bugging me: where’s granny coming from? The family are here, because they drink Avonmore milk. Granny is flying, but she’s not going home. The kid is dying to see her. So does she live in Donegal, did she retire abroad, or was she just on hols? Or did I miss something? 🤔😀
