I’m so tired of Sandy Petersen being fed blatantly untrue information from his friend who “lives in Japan” and then feeding that fake information to his Twitter followers.
It’s just truly bizarre behavior IMO.

My boyhood friend (completely anglo) lives in Japan, speaks fluent Japanese, is married to a Japanese woman, has three children (who have joint citizenship), and has been in Japan for many years. His career is translating Japanese into English for corporations and publications. He is not a citizen of Japan. He still gets their health care. He gets a pension. He gets pretty much all the benefits, except he can't vote. I asked him once what it would take to be a citizen and he said, "Really it's just if you're Japanese descent."
