I am also tearing up the city’s snow plan … our current approach is not meeting the needs of our community, and we need to start over. The findings from our After Action Review will shape a new, more effective snow and ice storm plan. (4/5)

I understand and share the public’s frustration with the level of services delivered during the recent snow and ice storms. I have high expectations and high standards for myself and for the services my administration and its 3,000-plus employees deliver to people. (1/5)

Public officials saying no one saw snow coming this morning are 100% wrong. I specifically said on WKYT and via social media that snow would impact this morning's commute causing delays and cancellations.
Chris Bailey@Kentuckyweather

Another uptick in snow showers and snow squalls will swing through here late tonight and and early Tuesday. This will impact the morning commute, leading to additional cancellations and delays. #kywx

Temperatures plunge into the 30s Monday morning behind tonight's strong cold front. Scattered snow showers are expected, especially late Monday morning through the afternoon hours. A quick dusting of accumulation will be possible, perhaps up to an inch in localized swaths.

A line of strong to severe storms will push west to east across Kentucky and southern Indiana late this evening and overnight. Scattered instances of damaging winds will be possible along the leading edge of this line. Tornadoes are also possible within the line.
