If everything were going so well with China, why would Russia make a desperate $12 trillion deal offer to the US? If we set aside the idiotic, unrealistic sum, what does the offer tell us other than desperation? But let's look at what Russia could offer: commodity companies and industrial assets; Russia has massive reserves of oil, natural gas, uranium, rare earths, and timber; it could offer exclusive access to the Arctic and a geopolitical win for the US of reversed Kissinger/Nixon? Nothing, of course, makes $12Trillion, but perhaps it is just a bait to get Trump’s attention?

Silver dropped $37 yesterday... $37! At the end of a parabolic move the first real downday can be brutal. The signs were there that it was topping here, but yesterday we got a downday that was more than brutal. This is why you in your trading portfolio start selling in tranches when you start seeing the real signs of a top. This we have done at the service during the last few weeks. And your long term miners portfolio you do not touch, or you "trade around" it, i.e. sell 20-35% at the top in order to buy it back at the coming low. The blue rising wedge below (up against big resistance on higher time frames) was one of many signs that it could roll over with force here, and that we also got, with a bit more force than expected; a 15-18% first downday would have been normal, but a 31% downday is extreme. And it meant that it did the around the apex move down (my own term and pattern) in just one day. Other signs were e.g. all the other rising wedges in the space, that metals moved higher but miners did not follow, the large indecision-like candles for metals Thursday, the big fat bearish engulfing candle for GDX very late in the daily cycle day 33 Thursday, etc etc. This is most likely a parabolic upmove topping. And one needs to have seen a few of these, in order to be able to handle them correctly. That is one of the many reasons why it is absolutely vital to follow the right people. #joinus graddhy.com A big upmove can digest the upmove (correct) by dropping in price, or by going sideways in time. Most of the time we get both in some sort of combination. Now the job is to figure out where the next big low will be, plus have a plan for what to do once there.

No i na koniec dnia - ciekawostka z serii lingwistycznych. Otóż, w języku rumuńskim istnieje słowo „copii” (czytaj „kopi”). Oznaczać może ono dwie rzeczy: Dzieci (w liczbie mnogiej) lub fotokopię/skan. Czy więc Rumuni się w tym nie gubią? Nie :) Choć słowa te zapisuje się identyczne to inaczej się je akcentuje. W wyrazie dzieci (copii) akcent pada na przedostatnie „i”, co dodatkowo wydłuża nieco te samogłoskę. W wyrazie fotokopia (copii) akcentujemy zaś „o”. Uczący się swego czasu rosyjskiego mogą kojarzyć, że i w tym języku zdarzają się takie historie (pamiętacie rzeczownik „pisać” i nazwisko Tołstoj, które to słowa przy nieodpowiednim akcentowaniu znaczyć mogą… „sikać” i „tłuścioch”?) Taka to dykteryjka przy wtorkowym wieczorze. I tak, tak… Mnie też zawsze (no, gdy zaczynałem romans z językiem rumuńskim i uczyłem się rzeczownika „copii”) do głowy pchała się myśl że w zasadzie przecież dzieci są na swój sposób naszymi kopiami ;) Tak naprawdę rzeczownik ten („copil” tj. dziecko w liczbie pojedynczej) nie ma jednak z kopiami nic wspólnego. Wywodzi się prawdopodobnie z innych języków bałkańskich i - co ciekawe - pierwotnie oznaczać mógł dziecko „z nieprawego łoża” czyli „bękarta”.
