After eight hard-fought rounds, our students finished in 6th, 13th, and 17th place! An incredible achievement for our team, who had very little tournament experience compared to the other participants. Congratulations to the entire team! 2/3

🧵 This weekend, six members of our SPX Scrabble Team participated in the North American School Scrabble Championship in Washington, DC. Students played in pairs against 40 other teams from the US. 1/3

On Friday, students attended the Indigenous Legacy Gathering at Nathan Phillips Square. Students enjoyed live performances, as well as workshops such as clay turtle making. A wonderful day to enjoy & appreciate Indigenous traditions & cultures. @TOCouncilFire #EveryChildMatters

Today Ms. Slapsys’ gr 8s sorted the food raised at our Pack the Patrol Car Event and did various other jobs at The Four Villages Community Health Centre @4VillagesCHC. Thank you to Officer Jan Barr @TPS11Div for delivering the food and to all the students for their enthusiasm!

Ms Atkinson’s grade 8 class was put to work today at the Loaves & Fishes Food Bank at St. Pius X Church. Father Brian was happy to have some help today too, with some jobs he needed completed! @SPXCSPC

Today’s Pack the Patrol Car Event was a huge success! A big thank you to @TPS11Div for making this event happen and to our students who donated 2 police cars full of non-perishable items for @FourVillagesCHC!  Thank you grade 8s for your leadership and congrats to Ms. Ku's class!
