i’m not really on a madhab rn, still learning. salafi approach just makes sense to me (qur’an & sunnah), but i don’t see it as a madhab. and yeah I respect all the scholars fr like Abu Hanifa, Malik ibn Anas, Al-Shafi‘i, Ahmad ibn Hanbal … they’re way above us.

يقول ابن القيم عن المطر:
"يرسله قطرات منفصلة لا تختلط قطرة منها بأخرى، ولا يتقدم متأخرها ولا يتأخر متقدمها، ولا تدرك القطرة صاحبتَها فتمتزج بها، ولو نزلت دفعة واحدة لتضرر الناس ولأفسدت الزروع والثمار"
فإن كان هذا حُسن تدبيره في قطراتِ المطر، فكيف بحسن تدبيره في أمورنا سبحانه

i know God has laughed at my despair, knowing how near relief has always been.
i’m tearing up… how close God must be to us, that He laughs at our despair, knowing our struggles are so small beside the blessings He is about to unfold.
my suffering has meaning if God laughs.

If you were to ask me the main motif of the Holy Quran, it would be: gratitude over the wondrous universe.
Extreme suffering is seen as an exception to the normal, harmonious states of affairs, & largely caused by us (incl when it's a punishment)
This comes up constantly tbh

I finished the translation of the Holy Qur'an after quite a long time (alhumdulillah), and it struck me that Shaytan/Iblis is actually not mentioned a lot?? In my head, he comes up wayyy more than he actually does in the text.
