We can have categorically good candidates. Wala namang nagsasabing hindi.
We just need them — in the context of THIS pivotal, crucial, needle-moving election — to *simultaneously* NOT flop, to be undeniably, incontestably strong and established and popular enough to withstand kung ano mang pandaraya at black propaganda ang gagawin ng masasama.
Hindi lang natin sila kailangang pantayan; we need to overtake them and widen the gap to the MAXIMUM extent if we ever wish to win a presidential election again in this lifetime. Layer after layer after layer of advantage, foresight, balance, and due diligence (without sacrificing our morals and principles and ideals, yes, but without ignoring the realities that we need to strategize around in order to ACTUALLY win and eventually have a fighting chance toward true systemic change).
