Getting outside is definitely good for our health, but so is chatting with you guys. I always feel great after we gather around the virtual campfire. Thanks for joining me, and I'll see you next week with Randy from @algonquinoutfit! #WeGetOutside

English

@Some_Eventful A10. It was easier when I had my dog, Timmie he loved to go outside as often as possible. Now, I schedule when I'm going out - I actually put it in my day timer and I have a goal checklist on my fridge - spend time outdoors is one of my daily goals. #WeGetOutside

Q10. Finding the time to get outside "because it's good for us" is hard. Give a tip to help people find or make time to get outside for the good of our health. #WeGetOutside

English

@GandDhomes @Some_Eventful same, but add a glass of wine in my hand. LOL
English

@Some_Eventful A9 we don't get the damage deposit back on our bodies at the end! I'm aiming for sliding in headfirst, worn out, out of oil, and gas with nothing left but the grin on my face! #WeGetOutside
English

Q9. Sometimes, getting outside can actually cause harm or injury. But we still do it.... why? #WeGetOutside

English

@Some_Eventful A9. It's the challenge, pushing our boundaries and trying something new. That said, being smart about my limits is something I've learned with age and some crazy experiences. #WeGetOutside
English

@SecondNatureMB @Some_Eventful I found cushioning footwear has helped for sidewalk walking and slowing my pace, otherwise I get shin splints as well.
English

Q8. Have you ever adapted the way you do stuff outdoors to accomodate an injury or chronic health issue? How? #WeGetOutside

English

@Some_Eventful A8. I have osteoarthritis in my feet. I've adapted by wearing good footwear and good socks. I listen to my body and not pushing too much, meaning watch my daily kilometres. I use hiking poles, they help with my balance and keep the pressure off my feet. #WeGetOutside
English

@Some_Eventful A7. We would say, if feeling ill from the neck down - rest, neck up...get yourself out, you will feel better. I practice this, headache, sniffles, blahs....I almost immediately feel better when I get outside. #WeGetOutside
English

Q7. If you are feeling "a bit under the weather", do you still participate in outdoor activities? Do you find it helps your healing? #WeGetOutside

English

@Some_Eventful A6. Not sure you could really call it creativity, but I'm a lot more interested in nature. I spend more time hugging trees, listening, taking in the sounds and scents of nature.
English

Q6. Studies show that being in nature can boost your creativity. How have you experienced this as an outdoor enthusiast? #WeGetOutside

English

@Some_Eventful I would agree with this. I never thought too much about the pictures I was taking outdoors, but now I do pay attention to framing, getting an interesting or cool shot. #WeGetOutside
English

A6. I'm really only interested in taking photos when I get outside. I think being outside sparks my imagination in the way I look at things and slow down to observe and take pics of the little things, like the shimmer of light on dragonfly wings. #WeGetOutside

English

@Some_Eventful A5. Physically, I have taken on bigger challenges as my body has gotten stronger. Mentally, I feel stronger and more grounded, I am able to cope better with stress and even not being able to be social at this time. #WeGetOutside
English

Q5. Tell us about a way getting outside has helped you become stronger, or has helped develop or improve an ability or skill. #WeGetOutside
