The "better half" @josefeen(no way it's only half, she's at least three quarters to seven eighths of the quantity of worth and goodness in our relationship) has shared some drawings based around her recently turning 50. pushingfifty.carrd.co

@tattoo_stew69 Absolutely, I'm just not convinced she's celebrating "the pain and suffering of others", is all.

@strider80 Agree its a very sensitive topic but standing there with two bottles of champagne celebrating the decision is completely of of touch.

I should probably caveat this by saying I'm someone who thinks players more than managers in football are responsible for performance levels. Right side, left, free role, through the middle, whatever - it's not unreasonable to expect more from Gassama in my opinion.

@Kankagroup @adamski152 @Bi11y04 @KaiGWatson I don't know if the attempted nutmeg counts as a shot on target - not sure if the defender was the last man as such, keeper had been caught out. The other two were shots on target. Can't remember what would be the 4th shot, though.

Does anyone have any stats as to how many shots on goal Naderi, Moore, Skov Olsen and Gassama have had over last 6-7 games? I genuinely cant think of many shots they have had never mind goals? @KaiGWatson @adamski152

@Kankagroup @adamski152 @Bi11y04 @KaiGWatson You might regret that. I can remember three - header that was saved, the shot he tried to nutmeg the defender then claimed the handball, and an effort that was easily saved after the Raskin header/Gogic handball claim.

@SnakeDerick The first two - basically snobbery and a throwback to a time people wanted to lord it over others. The last one - a uniform at least has some rationale behind it. There's no argument for standards being better because you're wearing a suit than not in most jobs or situations.

@strider80 So why can’t I wear full kit into hospitality at Ibrox? Why will I be penalised for wearing a tracksuit to a job interview? How do I know someone works somewhere if they aren’t in uniform? There needs to a basic level of standards and decorum in life.

@SnakeDerick Again, just because people buy into the nonsense doesn't mean it's rational or justified. The reason for high viz is safety. Very little other dress codes are worthwhile. The notion that there's any sort of decorum in that house of braying donkeys is hard to accept, personally.

@strider80 Mate, dress codes exist EVERYWHERE and for a reason. Could I turn up at your wedding in a clown suit?* Black tie, smart casual, hi viz… It’s how we recognise roles and status in society. Hers is unfitting. *I will be wearing one at your funeral btw

@SnakeDerick That's not a rational justification for them, though. And judging someone based on how they dress is doubly irrational. I can see why some consider it an attack, especially as what she was wearing was hardly provocative or such.

@strider80 Society imposes dress codes all the time, and if we let basic standards drop then so does everything else. Almost every job in the country has either a legally imposed, contractually imposed or practically imposed dress code and violation would bring sanction.

@BillyRmagician @hernanfpacheco I honestly don't remember a single situation where he was given the ball on the run, with yards to take Scales into, and no easy cover behind if he skinned him. The ball gets to him very slowly.

@hernanfpacheco @strider80 Sorry but there were several occasions in that first half where he had the ball in a 1v1 situation and just popped it back off. Offers zero threat. Compare to what Cerny gave you - he’s miles off it.

The other issue is Skov Olsen: I expected much more from him by now. Aside from his name, we need players who can attack down the flanks. In the absence of any skill from the Dane, Sterling stepped up, but that's not enough. I'm willing to see Gassama do something different.

@strider80 I think he needs to do one simple thing he didn't do today, which is to get forward, push up the field, and gain ground. What he couldn't do, Sterling did by expending more energy and playing with more determination. Skov drops back too much and makes things very slow.

@hernanfpacheco We're asking a winger to be a midfielder winning second balls and rarely giving him any situations where he can run at players. If we're not playing to his strengths, we're never going to get the best out of him.

@strider80 Understand, but this is the moment he needs to prove his worth in the pitch. And he's not doing that. Unfortunately, circumstances will not always suit his style, but rather he will adapt to the situation.

Some football fans believe that teams often reflect the nature of their manager, and I think Dundee are a great example of that. They're weird as f*ck.

@sport_simon As Graeme Souness said all those years ago at Rangers - they'll like it when we win. Arsenal have still had plenty of entertaining games, but football in the UK is mostly tight, competitive, somewhat horrible battles. You mention Mourinho, it arguably ruined him!

@strider80 I think fans ended up turning against Mourinho at a few of his clubs. Maybe only when he stopped winning though. Guess that’s the trade off.

To paraphrase Albert Einstein, the definition of insanity is sacking/replacing managers every year while expecting different results. It makes zero sense, especially when you have a young, vibrant coach already in situ.

@TremendoHendo72 We’ve had 23 players had minutes in the league this season - DR has overseen the signing of 5 of them - and they were in January…
