@hanaamurakami Trust me, that's an absolute reason to romanticize Japan. :-P (I've been eight times - wish I could come back again!)
English

@vivmdl That's me with VIGILANTE by Hiroyuki Sawano. 😅 I listen to that song all the time.
English

@vivmdl Oh, man, enchiladas sound so good, though. Lucky for your fellow potluckers!
English

@vivmdl All good! No worries, so don't feel bad. It's just one of those things - sometimes you luck out and find something fast, and sometimes you're stuck hunting for a good long while. My current day job sucks, but at least I (generally) make money with it. :-P
English

@vivmdl That was my experience. I even got people to get me interviews, and it just never worked out, honestly. It was exhausting. (Now I've been in a dead-end job that started decently for 20 years, and that's a different kind of exhausting. lol 😅)

@RimaEvenstar Hope everything's okay, Rima. Take care of yourself, okay?
English

@SinonSinfonia Rest is the best medicine when you're sick. Hope you feel better soon, Sinon! Take care of yourself.
English

@RimaEvenstar Warhammer 40K has some very interesting lore, actually. So does Warhammer Fantasy! Dive in and see if you like it, Rima. You might get addicted like the rest of us! (And Space Marine 2 is right there for you, just sayin'.)
English

@GregOwenYT Congrats to both of you, Greg. May you have 20 more and counting!

@rosiebellmoo Listen, I told you that Wendy's story in confidence, and I'm disturbed that you would share it publicly. :-P
Joking aside, it's a weird thing - I think a lot of people see the first few words, decide on their response, and fire away. Not a good way to engage, but common, sadly.
English

small crash out, but why do people respond to posts, without even reading them?
do you go to a wendys and think you are at a swimming pool? thanks for your opinion on global warming bob, but actually we were talking about escalators,
its hard to tell whats an ai bot and whats a narcassistic human with the brain of a rumba running into the couch over and over, but at least the rumba cant help it and is doing something productive. damn
English

@rosiebellmoo I personally have preferred the 2D models overall - I've always felt the 3D models look off in a way the 2D don't. Movement is weirder, if that makes sense. Just my two cents on it.

After trying several 3d options ...I feel like the vtubing community needs to be more honest when telling people how cool it is.
All of the cheap options are very jank..and still cost hundreds of dollars bare minimum.
I've spoken to many people who use 3d and the ones I get compared to casually are all using set ups that cost thousands of dollars for them to look alright . Even if they are just reacting to content.
I'm not saying some affordable options don't exist... But me struggling a bit with rebocaps and drift had so many people like " oh just ask streamer x, they would know "
And that streamer is using a 10k set up usually.
Just making it common knowledge .
English

@nocontextfm1 No joking, I've been having the glitch where you can't do anything in-game (clicks don't register or something), which is apparently a known issue. Didn't see anything about that, so that's a bit troublesome for me. I'll try a new save and see if it happens again.
English

@YourPalRags They used Virginia from Wild ARMs 3 for their sacrilege! I find that infuriating, unironically. I loved that game when I was younger.
English

@nerd_cookies I believe they took it on the chin, but I was a young pup at the time, and the internet wasn't yet a thing as it is today. But I don't recall them complaining about it. They just got on with it, I think, and made a beloved series.
English

Quick question for Trek fans who were around at the time: When TNG first came out and wasn’t well received, did the cast and crew openly complain about the audience reaction, or did they just take it on the chin and get on with their work?

Jonathan Frakes on negative reactions to Star Trek: Starfleet Academy: “I was prepared because when Next Gen came out almost 40 years ago, we were trolled. Nobody wanted us. And this was pre-internet." "But it’s still dimensionally more painful [today]… and the trolls are hiding, and the trolls are hating. … It's the first rule of the Constitution. I guess they're entitled to their opinion, but it surprises me how aggressively ‘anti’ they are with each new iteration of the show. And it continues to surprise me, and I try not to let it upset me."
