@stringerbell99 @RobertM40897248 Can you back that claim?
English

Oh boy, you still cannot navigate observational studies.
I am not a doctor, yet I understand that observational studies, no matter how much you like the results, can never establish causality. Yep, never ever. Sorry about that.

@Backto198433421 @bakrantz @KenDBerryMD Just post the links then. I'm not going to go watch a video to make your point for you.

If there was even a shred of curiosity or academic integrity in the nutrition research space, researchers would be falling over themselves to study this self-selected group of carnivores!
Why don't they develop scurvy?
Why isn't there a heart disease spike in Carnivores?
Shouldn't they develop Type 2 Diabetes at higher rates?
Colon cancer rate hockey-stick?
Rampant inflammation (measurable) ?
Pounds of meat rotting in their colon?
Nothing??
Remember, "they" keep telling us that one extra egg/day increases risk. 2 ounces of red meat increases risk.
CARNIVORES EAT 2 POUNDS OF MEAT AND A DOZEN EGGS/DAY! Shouldn't the signal be off the charts??

@Backto198433421 @bakrantz @KenDBerryMD You just keep moving the goalposts to something new and include a YouTube link. 😆
English

@stringerbell99 @bakrantz @KenDBerryMD OMG stop spreading your dung in public it stinks!
Your posts are full of it in a vacuous stream of opinions, whilst my posts have links supporting my post thesis !
Grow up!

@REV_Insulin_Res @RobertM40897248 All of the modern groups still living a traditional hunter gatherer lifestyle have LDL in the 50-85mg/dl range. Doesn’t seem to be a problem for them. They also don’t get heart disease.
English

@RobertM40897248 He expects people to maintain LDL levels that cannot be achieved without statins. At least not for most people. How did humans ever survive as a species.
English

@Backto198433421 @bakrantz @KenDBerryMD Who cares anything about Ancel keys? You argue against more irrelevant points that nobody made than anyone. The Mediterranean diet is thoroughly researched and well proven. I understand that’s not your wheelhouse. You prefer some random person telling it’s good on YouTube.
English

@stringerbell99 @bakrantz @KenDBerryMD My point if YOU could comprehend the English language is that the so called Mediterranean diet is BS !
Ancel Keys the mass murderer and liar is cheering ! He did his “study “ during lent!
English

@ifixhearts Metabolic health is important, but you don't need to choose one or the other. Address all risk factors, don't pick and choose.

If you're just starting carnivore, or you're thinking about it, here is the only thing you actually need to know:
Fat is not optional. Fat is not a concession. Fat is not something to nervously add a little of and see how it goes.
Fat is the entire mechanism.
Your body runs on glucose or it runs on fat. These are genuinely different fuel systems with different hormonal environments, different energy characteristics, and different downstream effects on your mood, hunger, and body composition. You cannot run the fat system on lean meat. You will feel terrible and blame the diet.
Choose the fattiest cuts you can find. Ribeye over sirloin. Lamb shoulder over lamb leg. 20% mince over 5% mince. Chuck over fillet.
If you're cooking ground beef and there's fat in the pan at the end, stir it back in. Add butter. Add tallow. Add double cream to scrambled eggs. Don't drain the fat away and then wonder why you're hungry in two hours.
This is the fuel source that made us human. Literally. The archaeological record is very clear on this: our brains grew, our guts shrank, and our cognitive capacity expanded in direct proportion to our access to large, fatty ruminant animals. We are, in a very specific biological sense, the product of animal fat.
The fear of it is recent. The food pyramid is sixty years old. Your genome is two and a half million years old.
Trust the older document.

English

@Positive_Dennis @ifixhearts He won't answer because it doesn't help him sell books.
English

@ifixhearts So how many of them are already on statins?
English

@AboundLifeCo @ifixhearts They made their LDL low when it should be high. Not treating the underlying cause.
English

@TrentDJ023 @cbaxmas @KenDBerryMD @grok Haha, you think you're smarter than AI? 😂 There are tons of places you can look it up, I was just helping you out here because it became clear you weren't actually going to do that. Stay ignorant if you prefer.
English

@stringerbell99 @cbaxmas @KenDBerryMD @grok 🤣The guy who said "Why don’t you try just looking it up" goes to an adolescent artificial "intelligence" that makes up BS, if it doesn't know the party line BS.🤡
English

@bakrantz @Backto198433421 @KenDBerryMD Salmon is just a modern adaptation. The name seems to work fine. I don't think anyone is concerned with the geography, just what foods and macros the diet is based on.
English

@stringerbell99 @Backto198433421 @KenDBerryMD I don’t really care but it is kind of stupid calling it the Mediterranean Diet given it isn’t even a real diet from the region. The food often suggested are not even Mediterranean like Salmon. I don’t care but should be called something logically sound.
English

@Backto198433421 @kimmib67 @KenDBerryMD Observational trials find ASSOCIATIONS that can then be further tested with random control trials and genetic studies.
English

@Backto198433421 @kimmib67 @KenDBerryMD That's why it says "the increased RISK from high LDL..." A freshmen error in reading comprehension. 🙄
English

I suppose you're talking about pattern a or b? These are not different particles, just the same particle with different sizes. Apob and NMR tests measure particle counts, the second including subtypes of LDL. All apob particles are atherogenic and contribute to atherosclerosis. Number of particles matters more than overall cholesterol content, so apob and NMR tests are slightly better than LDL-C at predicting risk, but you can't have significantly elevated LDL without also having high apob and LDL particle counts.
English

@stringerbell99 @kimmib67 @KenDBerryMD What it mean is LDL is a PLURAL - aka MORE THAN ONE !
There is LDL A and B
Standard blood tests (a) do
not directly measure LDL (b) nor differentiate between the two (c) use an 80 old equation based on outdated assumptions .
A good proxy is the TRIGLYCERIDES :HDL
English

@Backto198433421 @kiwi_in_oz_ @KenDBerryMD You just don't like being proven wrong so you just cry and obfuscate.
English

@Backto198433421 @bakrantz @KenDBerryMD Oh look another youtube video. 😆 I have no idea what point you're even trying to make. The Mediterranean diet is not based on any single country. It's based on general dietary principles of that REGION that not everyone universally follows.
English

@stringerbell99 @bakrantz @KenDBerryMD Then call it the FRENCH DIET !

Single species? What does that even mean. Yes, LDL (and all apob particles) play a causal role in atherosclerosis. Oxidation of lipoproteins in the sub endothelial space is what initiates atherosclerosis. The increased risk of heart disease from high LDL/apob is confirmed by every large observational trial ever conducted, as well as random control trials, and mendelian randomization studies. This is just an opinion piece that concludes it's not the MAIN cause of CVD. It doesn't conclude that it's not a metric of concern or that it doesn't raise your risk. Try sourcing papers that actually support your point.
English

@stringerbell99 @kimmib67 @KenDBerryMD Again LDL is not a metric of concern!
LDL is not a single species nor is it directly measured!

@Backto198433421 @Flobin1121 @KenDBerryMD Enough to avoid severe deficiency. Lol, what a great target.
English

@stringerbell99 @Flobin1121 @KenDBerryMD Again in the absence of carbohydrates, meats provide enough vitamin C aka
10 mg/day . European sailors had a high carb diet this suffered scurvy in and with the absence of plant foods . Inuit in an environment largely absent of plant foods did not suffer scurvy!
