For those who don't know, I'm the founder of Strong Wealth, a wealth management firm for Bitcoiners. My heart is heavy. I spoke with a couple in their early 60s last October, but they didn't move forward in working with us. He was the primary earner and was told he would be let go at the end of the month. They were giving him a decent severance, so he planned to just retire. $2M-$2.5M in assets. Spending would likely need trimmed, but they could probably pull it off with a solid plan and some allocation changes. Allocations: ~45% Bitcoin / ~22% Solana / 30% MSTR + TSLA Since then: Bitcoin -44% Solana -62% MSTR -67% TSLA -13% Brutal. If allocations didn't change, they're likely down ~50%. I haven't heard from them on the last couple follow ups, but I just checked in again. Not to try to change their mind about working with us, but genuinely check in on how they're doing. It's important to remember in times like this that many people might be hurting. I know we should expect significant drawdowns with these assets, but it's another thing to live through it and have it significantly impact your life plans. Yeah, it might feel good to make correct price predictions or dunk on others who made incorrect calls, but keep in mind there is a human on the other side of every screen. I say this as much to myself as everyone else. I don't want to lose sight of what really matters. This stuff we talk about all day truly effects people. I hope this couple is doing ok.
