As long as we keep defining groups by the actions of extremists this circle of violence will never end. "Liberals" did not do this anymore than "Conservatives" did the Minnesota State Capital shooting. Extremists of those ideologies did it, not the whole.

@bmariner @MarinasHammer To be fair the Institutes of Religion were always meant to be open to non-Mormons and also serve as meeting houses for the local community (especially college students) regardless of religion.

@AmandaMC133 @AP Getting rid of mail in ballots only makes sense once we ensure that everybody has the proper chance to be able to vote on voting day, that people are not excluded because of work of financial situations. Voting holiday, free mass transit on voting day, etc.

@AmandaMC133 @AP I would be fine getting rid of them except for citizens that are overseas / military out of state if they would accompany it with Voting days as paid National Holidays (or requiring employers to allow paid voting time for business that normally remain open on holidays)

@AmandaMC133 @AP Mail in ballot issue is a tricky one because we are talking about ones that are postmarked on time, but their arrival to be counted is after election day. This would easily be solved by moving the required postmark day to about a week before the election, the compromise we need.

@AP Has any election after election day ever moved to the Republican candidate? I can't think of one.

@AmandaMC133 @AP Well recounts and acceptance of mail-in ballots that are postmarked on time but arrive after election day are two different issues. Historically recounts are rare, and almost never change the outcome.

If you’re writing the laws, you shouldn’t be playing the market. This is basic stuff. I have a bill that finally bans members of Congress from trading stocks. No loopholes. No exceptions.

@SenMarkKelly This is one issue that really shouldn't be a partisan issue at all (and definitely something I have disagreed with on previous Democratic leadership). Members of Congress and their families should definitely not be allowed to trade in anything but approved retirement accounts.

@Curs3dCarl @HQNewsNow The TSA agents not getting paid I'm sure would disagree with you about zero reasons not to fund the segments of DHS that have been agreed upon....

@sts1251 @HQNewsNow Bullshit. There is ZERO reason to find some things and not the rest, there is nothing extra in the GOP proposal that wasn't already there under Biden.. Democrats care more about illegals than actual Americans. Period.

@Curs3dCarl @HQNewsNow ICE issues as in the current debates over it, which is what is holding up the DHS funding bills. Not saying either way about which side is "right" regarding ICE. Just saying they can't come to agreement on ICE. Everything else has basically been agreed upon.

@Curs3dCarl @HQNewsNow This was a clean bill to fund the TSA while they continue negotiations on the rest of DHS funding. It wasn't a refusal to fund, it was an attempt to ease the TSA issues. Republicans voted it down because they know the TSA funding is their only ammo in the ICE issues.

@DJSnM Correct, emergency crews were heading to another emergency, this vehicle requested to cross the runway and was granted, and then shortly after the tower tried calling for them to stop but they still got hit. Good chance someone had keyed a mic and truck never heard it.

@TheOldManPar I will say Jennifer Homendy at the NTSB has been doing a really good job. There is a good reason she has served in the role under both Trump and Biden. We should get a good detailed and honest report on the incident.

@mcrs987 @b4pmain I assume they just shucked the test tank, which I'm fine with. I can't imagine there is enough difference between using the test tank and a full ship for that test.

@jetmanmig @TJ_Cooney And this is only the starting number for New Glenn (and Ariane64 / Vulcan), they will increase as the vehicles gain more capability through optimization of the platform. In theory New Glenn should be capable down the line of well over 60+ satellites per launch.

@TJ_Cooney Great to see real competition in LEO connectivity! New Glenn's 48-satellite capacity is impressive. This pushes the entire sector forward. 🚀 Customers will be the real winners here.

@TJ_Cooney I am definitely excited to see this growing finally. Competition is always a good driver for innovation and Amazon is definitely in the best position to actually be a competitor to Starlink. They have the needed capital and AWS gives them tons of initial infrastructure.

@ZachSellinger @GewoonLukas_ @RoryTheSpaceGuy And it's definitely been something that SpaceX and the industry as a whole as learned in general that you do not need such a pencil thin booster for a recoverable rocket. Of course this was learned because of what SpaceX did, so can't fault SpaceX for not knowing at the time.

Height of 13.1 meters, external diameter of 5.2 meters, usable volume of 145 cubic meters. Other fairings are slightly wider and taller with more usable volume. I get that customers choose Falcon 9 because of its low cost (and reusability), but they need to take into consideration the fairing’s usable volume; especially if it’s a big cluster of satellites to LEO, or a heavy high-power communications satellite to GTO.

@ZachSellinger @GewoonLukas_ @RoryTheSpaceGuy Well even Elon has admitted the fairing size has been an issue, especially with Falcon Heavy. One of the major reasons he vowed he would never do a multi-booster rocket again, because you are still limited to the center core sizing.

@LastofLazarus @ScottLikedSLS @RoryTheSpaceGuy Falcon Heavy is the same size until we finally get the extended fairing (eventually....) Even then the extended fairing is still smaller than the Vulcan Long. FH Extended is 5.2m x 18.6m and Vulcan Long is 5.4m x 21.3m.
