@korde_richard @TUFC1899 But they’ve never played NLS play finals at neutral grounds, it’s always been at the home of the 2nd place team, that way encourages teams to at least get to second! Can’t change the rules ahead of the game, would be unfair on Hornchurch
English

@TUFC1899 They could play it at leyton orient or Dagenham and Redbridge ground at least you would get a big crowd
English

English

@SaintsDanSFC Because they deserve to go up on merit for finishing second in the league, regardless of the stadium, it’s about the team!
We already have Gateshead in the NL so why not Hornchurch,
I hope it is Hornchurch that go up
English

An athletic track with a pitch could literally be hosting national league football next season, how on earth does this pass the appropriate grading please somebody explain?
#TUFC #HornchurchFC #Hornchurch #YellowArmy #TheUrchins

English

@MarkETFC01 @richardpotty That’s my point! What does it matter about the stadium! Hornchurch finished 2nd in the league, it would be more fitting for the to win and go up than anyone else in the league regardless of the stadium, promotion is about clubs that deserve it not who has the best ground!
English

@stuart1679 @richardpotty He’s not talking about the club but about the ground
English

So this could be potentially welcoming NL football next season, Southend could be taking well over 1k as this would be their closest fixture. This is the Hornchurch Stadium, home of Hornchurch FC who play Torquay in the NLS play off final. For so many reasons Torquay must do it.

@__jacklawrence Think when you look at kM style, he likes impact players on the bench that can end the game well! Which is why I think this will be the team, with Leon or Keenan to come on and make an impact
English

@KP24 Boring!! Give me a red ball game with a contest between bat & ball all day long,
English

@RochdaleFan @thatseriphosi Maybe the biggest game, but it was part of a season long 46 games schedule! The 46 games don’t include goal line technology, was you asking for it before the game? No!
Did you ask the Lino himself if he was certain? No you didn’t
He gave the goal and that’s it.
English

@stuart1679 @thatseriphosi This was just not another normal game though. It was the biggest game in the National League history. With what was on the line, it shouldn’t come down to a controversial decision. If the lino isn’t 100% certain, which I don’t think he can be, he shouldn’t be flagging.
English

That is sickening.
From ultimate elation to deflation.
How can something so big on the line be decided on a controversial decision.
For it to come down to that I can’t believe it.
This Dale team gave it their all. Somehow we are going to have to pick ourselves back up. #RAFC

English

@RochdaleFan @thatseriphosi It’s a league game, 1 game out of the standard 46 games, for the integrity of the whole season the game has to be played like all of the games, ie no goal line technology
You have to realise that Lino’s for years have been giving goals of not from the distance,
English

@stuart1679 @thatseriphosi Clear we’re not gonna agree on whether he had a clear view or not. But I stick to my point from over 20 yards away there is no way he can be 100% sure. This is where in a game of this stature goal line technology would’ve been helpful.
English

@RochdaleFan @thatseriphosi He had a clear view of the player behind the line and the ball, nothing blocking the view!
How has he guessed? And as for being 20 yards away Lino’s for years and years been giving goals over the line from over 20 yards away!
So if he didn’t give it how would York feel?
English

@stuart1679 @thatseriphosi Stood around 20 yards away, lots of bodies on the goal line not a chance he could have been 100% certain it was fully over the line and if you are not 100% certain you don’t make a decision. In a game of this stature it’s simply not acceptable that imo the lino has just guessed.
English

@RochdaleFan @thatseriphosi Explain why his view wasn’t perfect?, he was in line with the corner flag and no one in front of him and looking straight down the line
therefore you have to accept that what he saw was correct.
Whatever decision he gave someone would be affected!
That’s football
English

@stuart1679 @thatseriphosi He didn’t have a perfect view at all. No way he could have been 100% clear the whole ball went over the line. Just pointing out a fact too. I would expect any fan who have lost the title to a controversial decision to be questioning it.
English

@RochdaleFan @thatseriphosi How can he not be 100% clear, he had a perfect view
Omg you’re actually embarrassing yourself now! He clearly had the best view. And the fact you’ve just popped out the he gave us nothing all game shows clearly you now just have sour grapes and not accepting you drew the game!
English

@stuart1679 @thatseriphosi There is no way he can be 100% clear that has fully crossed the line. I am yet to see concrete evidence to suggest otherwise too. Though that lino gave us nothing all game, so not surprised he couldn’t wait to flag for a goal.
English

@RochdaleFan @thatseriphosi There were no bodies blocking his view of the ball and the player behind the line. He had the best view in the ground and an unblocked view, I’ve watched the replay back and in fact it’s a piece of fantastic officiating, Lino’s positioning was spot on
English

@stuart1679 @thatseriphosi My argument is there is no way the lino can see through all those bodies and be 100% certain it has crossed the line.
English

@RochdaleFan @thatseriphosi Neutral fan, the Lino has a great view, a better view than any of the tv angles, don’t understand your argument, if they never gave it would have been unfair on York.
Officials gave the decision based on what they saw not the situation.
English

@thatseriphosi Every angle I’ve seen there is no way the officials can be 100% sure the ball is over the line.
English

@MaxPollard6 @__jacklawrence Don’t think it will matter too much finishing 6th or 7th both away games. Would rather play BW with a full strength team, rather than Scunthorpe with 3 main players missing!
English

@SrikuP93 @stevenffc123 @KP24 @JamieMagill5 Cook averaging 45 as an opener is far more impressive than a number 5 averaging 47.
English

@stevenffc123 @KP24 @JamieMagill5 Cook - 2006-2018 Ave - 45.35
KP - 2005-2014 Ave - 47.28
KP's career was cut short 🤷🏽♀️
Cook was good, but I wouldn't consider him a better player than KP!

English

Cook knows a thing or two about Test Match preparation though?
Kevin Pietersen🦏@KP24
Alastair Cook has absolutely NO IDEA what it's like to be in the IPL. What's it's like to always be around the best players in the world. So his opinion on Jacob Bethell doesn't matter at all. Stay in India, Jacob. I know, even though you're not playing, you're learning and will be a way better player. 👍🏻
English

@AJMSUFC I would imagine the FA trophy final at Wembley does actually mean quite a lot to the players! Who wouldn’t want the chance to win a trophy at Wembley
English

How far we have fallen. Just got to hope and pray we get to the Wembley final that actually matters this season and win it

@CJPhillips1982 Look at the reaction of the 2 Braintree defenders, one is looking at the ref expecting him to blow and the other one basically stops knowing it’s a penalty, crazy decision
English

@BasshrimperLee If this is to defend Maher, I would remove it! This shows clear evidence of no progression since 2023
