I’m bringing back a blog series I ran for years: The App Store Experiment.
From 2013–2020 it reached nearly 1 million readers and documented real experiments growing an app on the App Store.
But the ecosystem has changed dramatically.
• ASO is harder.
• Ad spend on Meta and TikTok has exploded.
• AI built apps are flooding the store.
So I’m rebooting the series in 2026.
I’ll be running a new set of experiments, including:
• Screenshot A/B tests
• Ad campaigns
• Localised pricing changes
• Custom Product Page experiments
• Anything else that comes up!
And I’ll share what worked, what didn’t, and the data behind it.
