Leadership Southen Indiana's youth leadership program, NEXGEN, hosted a 5K Dog Walk/Run in April and raised over $5000 for @nwhsmustangs therapy dog program. Thanks to Mark Eddy, John Edwards, the wonderful people involved with NEXGEN, and their fantastic students!

Mrs. Isaac's senior Government and Economics students were honored to have Senator Garten visit their classroom today. He took time to answer their questions about the state government and shared his story and a very positive message of encouragement.

@nwhsmustangs reminder Wed., March 1st all seniors should plan a college/military visit or a job shadow. Intent forms were emailed to seniors and their parents. Paper copies can be picked up in Mrs. Sceifers' office in the media center if needed. Forms are due by this Fri., 2/24!

Engineering and Adv Man Academy students launched rockets with @IUBloomington's Dr. Scribner to celebrate finishing the book, "Hidden Figures" and to kick off PBL activities including using the scenarios in the book and researching NASA projects to determine their eng. path.

@nwhsmustangs junior, Braeanna Billups, was the only GCCS student to attend the Richard G. Lugar Symposium for Tomorrow’s Leaders hosted by @uindy. The symposium is designed to expose some of the best and brightest young minds in Indiana. We are proud of you Braeanna!

@nwhsmustangs freshmen heard from some amazing guest speakers this week. Thanks to Captain Scott Shipman, firefighter; Laura Veldman with @WestRock; and alumni Robert Sarver, Engineer @SamtecInc, for taking the time to talk about career opportunities with our students!
