On my seventh consecutive day in a row on an off service rotation and I’m feeling just so mentally and emotionally exhausted. This isn’t my first time feeling alone and isolated in residency but it’s really getting to me today 😔

Despite exhaustion, I quite literally love my job 🥹

Best advice to 4th year medical students applying for residency: go to a program with the volume to get your numbers, a structure that cultivates an immersive non toxic learning environment, and culture to support your wellness. Residency sucks hard, but my program is phenomenal.

There was an enormous sense of pride amongst our community, as the CUNY School of Medicine MD Class of 2027 received their clinical white coats last evening. The Clinical White Coat ceremony provides a moment of reflection as the class transitions into clinical practice.
