@amypretzel I suspect the “what factories still need” part is a lot worse than people realize. I have worked in and toured different factories, talked to factory owners, etc. The data infrastructure + real time sensor validation combo is probably in a TINY percentage of even US factories

what's actually working in AI + manufacturing right now:
- ML for optimizing quality/energy/performance
- computer vision for process monitoring
- auto-generating 2D drawings from 3D CAD
what factories still need:
- better data infrastructure (most is brittle and non-scalable)
- real-time sensor validation
- systems that update as designs change
where the gaps are:
- CAD → manufacturable plans (still mostly manual)
- accurate simulation for real factory conditions

@meshtimes_ I have the Elegoo Saturn 4 ultra 16k. Resin printers are a pain tbh. I started out on resin printing and wish I started with the FDM ones. I would have made a lot more stuff. But you could dupe this piece exactly with the Saturn 4 ultra

Idea: using a flat rock as a working surface, mix dried flowers with water until it’s like a thick paste. Then depict that epic boar you hunted and also your smokin hot wife 😎

idea: using scissors, remove the fur from an animal with curly hair (a sheep perhaps). Then, align all of the fibers and tightly wind them into a “string.” This string can then be used to create clothing.
